rss in drupal

Hi, I have a site of about 1000 nodes. but, when I try to subscribe my rss feed, i see only the 3/4 nodes in homepages. How can I organize rss or, how can I include each node to the rss when it is published? thanks in advance.

Form api GET/POST method not working

Hi, I'm creating a form module using form api in Drupal 6.x. The form validation is done on a different page in the same theme. if I use $form['#method'] = 'get'; I'm able to obtain the variables through GET method, but $form_state['redirect'] is NOT working for me. For GET method, I access the variables directly by their names. if I user $form['#method'] = 'post'; I'm NOT able to obtain the variables through POST method, but $form_state['redirect'] is working for me. For POST I tried both accessing the variables directly, and through the array $_POST['edit']. How do I get either of these methods to work completely ? Thank you

Trying to set up menus / categories etc

Hi All, This is my first post here so be kind ;-) I've been pulling my hair out trying to set up taxonomy and a navigable menu on my site (with runs Drupal 5.10 from vBulletin) I've been creating Articles and Reviews stories and I need to set the site up so users can easily navigate to a list of recent stories in each category. I've set up categories so far called "Articles" and "Reviews". This is where I am getting rather confused. I've added "Terms" to these (I guess these are sub-categories). Going to the "Menus" option I've created a new menu and called it "Navigation Test". This is where I get stuck - how do I link my stories from each category to the menu? When i click "Add Item" all I get is the option to paste a path/link into - wouldn't it make more sense to have a drop-down list of all my categories here to choose from? Or am I missing something? I'm sure this is something I should instantly be able to figure out, but it's left me very confused. I do hope somebody can help. Marc Cult Movie Forums http://www.cultmovieforums.com/

drupal_urlencode() vs urlencode()

Hi, I hope this list is still running - I haven't received anything in a few days now. I am new to Drupal and am struggling to work out when I should use drupal_urlencode() and when I should use urlencode(). And is there a urldecode()? I cant find one. The exact problem I have has to do with putting a filename into a URL as a request parameter. This was being put into a URL without any encoding and worked fine until someone added a file with an & in the name. So I looked into drupal_urlencode(), but it seems to not work, while urlencode() works perfectly. When I use drupal_encode(): --------------------------- $filename = 'Arm&Hammer.jpg'; $req_param = drupal_urlencode($filename) The URL for the link produced is: http://www.xyz.com/download.php?filename=Arm%2526Hammer.jpg And when I extract the parameter in download.php and use it I get the following error message: warning: fopen(C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\drupal_files/images/Arm%26Hammer.jpg) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\download.php on line 10. When I use urlencode(): ----------------------- $req_param = urlencode($filename) http://www.xyz.com/download.php?filename=Arm%26Hammer.jpg download.php is able to extract the request parameter and open the file. Can someone please explain to me when I should be using drupal_urlencode() and when I should use urlencode(). sharing views in multisites

I was going to install/mantain around 130 sites which should be nearly the same: same roles, users (but users have diferent roles in every site), menus, blocks..... I am using a modifications of "multisite manager" and "rollout" to create them. Is there any problem sharing any of the tables? - users: no problem - roles: ? - menus: ? - views: ? - sequences: no problem - sessions: no problem - system: ? - url_alias: ? email notification of forum message to all user (or certain groups)

Hello. I am trying to convert a mailing list community about environmental protection to the website using Drupal 5.4. Mailing list is always my favour but for non technical groups this poses problem like 1. contents are not properly categorized and have right tags attached; 2. discussion are sometimes not followed well due to some user are not guru in using email software; 3. big attachment is not practical for a lot of subscribers. 4. .... My effort to move user to the website is: 1. Try to find a way to integrate mailing list to the forum on Durpal. Emails sent to mailing list automatically appear on Drupal. Currently I didn't find a technical way to do so, can you provide some hints? 2. Try to make drupal forum sends email notification to everybody. Currently I found drupal only sends notification of forum message to those who subscribed the thread of discussion, this is not very useful in our case, in our case it's useful to send to even those who have not subscribed the thread of discussion also receive notifications. That's because it had been like this for 5 years and user feel it more comfortable than only receive subscribed threads notifications. There are too many lurking people that we don't want to loose by moving to the website. By doing so we ensure the user posting on the website forum does not feel lurkers would miss their message. Hints on how to make it happen? Changing Default HTML code for search module

Hello All, Actually i've search module enabled in my site. But i dont want that search text box as well as that button to be displayed on the site's page. I just want "search link" in the left side in the navigation. The link can b enabled through administer->menu. But it can be enabled only when the "search" module is enabled through administer->modules. So i've to change the html code for this search text-box and search button. Is there any solution for it? no email could be send

Hi, my D5 installation at a hosting provider couldn't send emails. in logfile is everything okay. Somebody has hints for me ? Regards Sebastian -- For a man to truly understand rejection, he must first be ignored by a cat.

DruTeX pdf

I used Drupal 5 with DruTex. Math rendered fine. Please see: http://gndec.ac.in/~hsrai/outReach/?q=node/1 However, I could not understand use of drutex/pdf/nid where nid is the node id. I enabled "access pdf files" flag to all users. Is Something Wrong With CVS Checkout?

I'm a regular CVS checkout person, getting modules and core this way. This afternoon I'm getting the error: cvs [checkout aborted]: connect to cvs.drupal.org(140.211.166.46):2401 failed: Connection refused Anybody else having problems. Ideas? Shai
