Drupal: I receive e-mail newsletters and post them into my Drupal sites. I have configured my e-mail client (Outlook) to display messages in plain text format. Several of the newsletters contain URL's delimited with chevrons: <http://example.com/> I use the "Filtered HTML" input filter on my Drupal sites, set to "Strip disallowed tags". So, Drupal strips out URL's in the above format. I would like Drupal to recognize the URL and display it as a clickable link. As there is no HTML tag "http", I am not inclined to try adding it to the "Allowed HTML tags" list. What is the best way to deal with this issue? TIA, David

I am seeing this on the status page of D6 on my Ubuntu server. Does anyone know of a Ubuntu package that will solve this, or must I actually compile my own PHP here? GD Image Filtering Low Quality / Poor Performance The installed version of PHP GD does not support image filtering(desaturate, blur, negate, etc). It was probably compiled using the official GD libraries from http://www.libgd.org instead of the GD library bundled with PHP. You should recompile PHP --with-gd using the bundled GD library. See http://www.php.net/manual/en/image.setup.php. An implementation of imagefilter in PHP will be used in the interim. multilingual blocks from view title

I'm on D5. I've installed view, i18n, i18n block and i18n views. I can filter nodes on current language through i18n views. So I shouldn't need to replicate the blocks for each language and then add a i18n multilingual block if it wasn't for one detail: the block title. I have it defaulting to 'create revision', which then created a page revision with that newly uploaded file tethered to it. In the upload module, I finally came across '// Only delete a file if it isn't used by any revision' and there you have it -- uploading the file and not creating a revision at the same time, lets me delete the file (as long as there is no revision it is linked with) def. see the thought process there, just zoomed over me. On a node/page/story I can upload and attach a file. It appears on the page, and in the file folder on the system. When I flag the file for deletion, it is removed from the page, but it remains on the server. I would think it was a permission issue, but it gets created on the sever to begin with. Any suggestions?

Drupal files synchronization

Hi all, My company is using 3 Drupal servers with load balancer to distribute the load. The problem is the files in sites/default/files folder need to be synchronized among these 3 Drupal servers. I am thinking of using rsync for this purpose but I heard rsync may not be the best way to do it since it shouldn't delete the files so the number of files will grow quickly. Has anybody used rsync to synchronize the files? Is there a better method to synchronize files in sites/default/files? Thank you in advance! How to include CSS files selectively in a smart way

Dear All, We are currently developing a somewhat complex community site using Drupal 6. Since we are still within "Drupal's learning curve" we are going through some code re-architecture right now. When it comes to CSS files, we are trying to apply as much as possible the following rule: "every page has 2 CSS files: one general that applies to every page and one specific for each page or group of pages". That is similar to what is explained and illustrated here: http://css-tricks.com/unique-pages-unique-css-files/ We have already divided conceptually all our site pages into different parts; each of these parts will be styled through one general plus one specific CSS file as much as possible. That seems to make sense so far... The issue we are facing right now is... HOW DO WE INCLUDE DIFFERENT CSS FILES INTO DIFFERENT PAGES? 1) Our current approach Using different template files (i.e. page-xxx.tpl.php). I do not think this is good because: - We have 28 template files at the moment. Every time we make a small change on the HEADER, FOOTER or any common part across the whole site... we need to modify *a lot* of files to accommodate that change. - The way we are including files is using a direct link (i.e. adding lines like that to the template file: <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="<?php echo $theme_path.'/myhomebox.css'?>">). I think this is not good either BECAUSE Drupal's CSS OPTIMIZER will not include this files on its queue. So these files cannot be optimized with the built-in mechanism... 2) How about CSS INJECTOR? We are right now exploring on CSS INJECTOR (http://drupal.org/project/css_injector) module. The module is pretty cool, allows you to "inject" (:-p) CSS files on pages following rules. The "basic" rules are URL based. Unfortunately that is not enough for us BECAUSE we have pages with similar URL that render different content. Example: /node/$nid. So we could then use CSS INJECTOR's *expert* mode where you can write your own PHP to decide if the CSS file gets in. But I wonder... How about the overhead of this? I mean, surely we can see what can of node is any given node_id... but that means we need to load the node again on the injector level then again for rendering the page? For now we have decided to include our GENERAL MAIN CSS FILE that applies to *every* page using CSS INJECTOR. Then we do not know how to smartly include our specific CSS file depending on what page. I am kind of inclined of trying to get less page-xxxx.tpl.php files and do some sort of conditional checking on them. But there might be other better methods out there. Also, we could try to group styles based on URL then embrace CSS INJECTOR as our css including brain :-P so every page that is /node/* will have node.css files included. This seems a bit awkward from a developer standpoint because it can be that apples and pears both have the same /node/$apple_id and /node/$pear_id url thus using the same CSS file. I was asked to create a document template for entering Company procedures. Is there a module or content type that can do this? The document template should have Document name Document Description Document body I read that I could create a form to enter the info but how do I display the info? Thanks, Nestor :-)
