Download Tools module or file counter module

Anyone know of a way to get a count of files that have been downloaded other then the public file conter module as this one uses a php link to count the file and makes the links to long. It looks like Download Tools and the file counter module are not ready for d7 yet. DBTNG Confusion

Using the Boombatower conversion tool, my query comes out to: $users = db_select('user_badges_user', 'ubu') ->fields('u', array('uid', 'name')) ->condition('ubu.bid', $badge->bid) ->join('users', 'u', 'u.uid = ubu.uid') ->execute(); But when I run this, I get: Fatal error: Call to a member function execute() on a non-object Joins are getting to be a major pain in the derriere. Structuring a menu where there's no parent

Am assuming I'm being a bit obtuse, but effectively I want my menu to look like: ---Home ---Events -------Event 1 -------Event 2 -------Event 3 ---Contact etc This will be a dropdown menu, so when people mouseover Events, they see the dropdown of Event 1/Event 2/Event 3. This is all fine. However, there is no content for an Events page itself, and if someone clicks on Events, they should be taken by to the Event 1 page. What's the neatest way of doing this? I could create a "blank" Events page and then redirect somehow (custom module/global redirect?) to Event1, but this seems slightly hacky. Is there an alternative. I'm using D7.

Image Blocks

Accessing non-drupal tables with Views?

Hi, I have a Drupal7 site that shares a database with another application.. I would like to use views to publish data from the applications tables to users.. Anyone have any ideas how to do this?? I have searched the internet but not found anything.. Certainly nothing for D7.. TIA

Tabledrag issue

I cannot see any changes to the "tabledrag" implementation between D6 and D7 other than form classes having to be arrays (which I've changed). My modules works fine in D6, but in D7, the table rows are empty of content. The correct number of rows are there, as are the dragging handles. One other little symptom I see is that the "#processed" element is not getting set to TRUE, making me wonder if something is changed in drupal_render() that I am not seeing somewhere. Dear list, I've just subscribed to this mailing list with need to ask somebody for an advice. I've been working with Drupal since 1 month in order to create sort of metadata (MD) editor for my stakeholders and have encountered one problem, which I could not solve so far using web resources searching. One part of the MD editor - Drupal form has to provide to the metadata producer a field to define Geographic Bounding Box definition by drawing such a box on the map and fill 4 bounds fields (North, East, South and West). An example of such a functionality is shown in figure below (INSPIRE Geoportal): I am using Drupal version 6, and found similar functionality in the taxonomy terms definition, where within the particular term definition one might define also its geographical bounds as is shown in figure below: My question is whether I can implement such a function inside the form, to get bounds to similar fields as above. This has to be done by user who is describing his dataset? I found also module, which might solve this problem for me most probably (GeoField - http://drupal.org/project/geofield), however it's implementation only for Drupal 7. And actually I'm not sure whether even this module might fulfil my requirements. Many thanks in advance to anybody who might give my any feedbacks, recommendations, hints ... Hi All, Wondering if there's anyone that have trick to handle time out error? I often get this error message. My desktop computer spec is C2D 1.7GHz, 2GB RAM & 7200rpm HD, do you it's enough for D7? One more question, do you have any suggestion about the book to learn "views" & "panels", please? Thank you very much.

multisite with unique systems table

I have a drupal 6 multisite. I'd like each site to have a unique set of enabled modules. Is it possible for each site to have it's own unique system table? I also have unique variable tables. 'default' =>'', 'blocks'=> 'main_', 'boxes' => 'main_', 'variable' => 'main_', 'cache' => 'main_', 'system' => 'main_', Is having unique system tables asking for trouble? I'm having problems with a couple of contributed modules like Features and environment indicator but I'm not sure the unique system table is causing the problem. Quotes module & Drupal 7: feedback

Hi Nancy, Not sure where to post this. Certainly didn't want to open an issue; so kindly bear with me: http://drupal.org/project/quotes requests comments from Drupal 7 users, and as it's your module I doubt you mind the publicity. (I'm surprised so few sites use it.) Anyway, it works beautifully for my purposes in D7. I avoided importing the quotes or using tags, since it explicitly says the functionality isn't there yet; and just created a few quotes, set permissions, created a block, and everything seems to be working perfectly. Only change I made to the CSS was the .block-quotes 60% width setting - which I changed to 90%. I can imagine why it's like that for Main Content, but in a sidebar it's a bit skinny. :-) Nice job! Thanks for all you do, Mrs. Dru. :-)
