I'm rebuilding a TYPO3 site to Drupal7. Afaik this is the lates and greatest release. However, it seems as if lots of modules are not ready (yet) for D7. Quit a few programmers promise a stable mature module by the time D7 is relased but all I see is a lot of betas and even alphas. OK, no big deal, I can wait, but the question for me is, where do I wait for? And what is a 'waste of time'? I want two things with audio/video. [1] a special audio/video content type which displays all kind of video formats, *including* FLV and MP3 audio. For this and after watching http://www.mediafront.org/dallas-drupal-days-2011-presenting-media I feel that Mediafront (A front end media solution for Drupal) w/ OSM player is the way to go. Have still to learn how thing work exactly but the results were very impressive. [2] Secondly I want to have an article content type able of *embedding* video/mp3 like a flv flash movie or a sound snippet together with the text of the article. This seems much harder to accomplish. Most stuff is outdated or in beta/alpah fase. A couple of days ago I looked into the CKEditor SWF enhanced Flash embedding plugin (I already use CKEditor) but this was no succes on my D7.7 system. I would welcome any advice on these two matters. What to wait for / try out? Where lies the future of sound/video and Drupal7.

Template for webform with protected downloads

Hello, I have been using Webform Protected Downloads <http://drupal.org/project/webform_protected_downloads> successfully with D6 for some time. I now have a need to have a template webform which can be used by different users to access different user-specific protected downloads while the webform is the same for all users (same webform for all users but different user-specific protected downloads). Is there some way to do this such that I do not have to recreate the webform for each user but simply associate a different protected download with the same web form? If this is not possible shall I file an RFE with Webform Protected Downloads <http://drupal.org/project/webform_protected_downloads>? If it is possible then can someone please give me some advice on how best to do this. Thank you for your help. ps: Are there any module-specific user mailing lists for drupal modules (other than the issues list for each module)? Active Directory groups with Drupal for customised homepage?

Good evening, How do I integrate ActiveDirectory with Drupal? Basically I want each user to be automatically logged into Drupal if they're logged in through Active Directory, for there Drupal accounts to automatically be created, and for there home-screens to be different based off there Active Directory group. I'm building a small Intranet, and want specific things to be displayed based on users' GP groups. Each employee will have a form to send ticket to HelpDesk, IT KnowledgeBase and then a set of "blocks" based on there role (i.e. an account would have a calcuator amongst other things), but the user should also be able to add/remove blocks and move blocks around. Are there projects and/or sets of modules which I can use to make this system work? (i.e.: ldap_provisioning) Alternatively should I be looking at a different CMS? I have a site using Drupal 7 with Views 3. I'm trying to get a feed to work with FireFox (yahoo feed). It works with Chrome and Safari fine, but Yahoo throws this error: "There were some problems while loading your page: Sorry we were unable to add this feed. Please try again later". I receive these two errors when I validate the Feed at: http://feedvalidator.org line 39, column 0: description should not contain relative URL references: /blog/category/feet (3 occurrences) [help] </description> line 124, column 2: Missing atom:link with rel="self" [help] </channel> Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

Drupal as a simple document management system

Hi, I am trying to evaluate some document management solutions based on these requirements. The problem is that many of these tools are full-fledged ECM solutions. I think Drupal is one of them. Is there a way to use Drupal as a simple document management system based on these requirements ? I will try Drupal if that is what is recommended but any opinions or comments will also help. Thanks, Mohan Requirements : We have a systems that receives and generates files and reports with financial data. These files could reside in the disk or they could be generated by the system. In the case of files in the disk we need to specify archival policies that the tool will use to move the files to its repository. We want to archive the reports generated on-the-fly by the system by invoking the webservice API of the tool. We want to associate custom and standard annotations and metadata with these documents using the tools’ thick or think client or the WebService API. We also want to retrive and search these documents using the thick or think client or the WebService API. Document history is also required. We want to view these documents in the browser. Some of these documents could be encrypted on the disk and they have to be decrypted before viewing. Volume labels should be associated with these document repositories so that the clients or the API know how to retrieve them and also support multi-tenancy.

views page and block question

Hi, I created a view with a block I want to have a title as a link and summary displayed the link will link to the page that I created with the view so it will display the way I want it, but I only want it to display the content for that node and not the entire page of content type. So in my block I modified the path to the page path of the view, but is there a paramitor I need to add so it just shows the current linked node? Gosh I hope that makes sence. Thanks for any help. multiple taxomony vocabularies and content types

I'm new to Drupal. I worked years with TYPO3 (nog an easy CMS) but am a little overwhelmed using the menu interface as administrator. I want to use multiple vocabularies linked to i.e. the article content type. However, all I see is the Tags vocabulary to choose from or add words to. Do I understand it correctly that for *every* vocabulary I have to add a new field in the "manage fields" tab in the content type I want to use this vocabulaty in?
