Mass account creation

I'd like to create accounts for some folks whose email and names i I know. After I enter the names and emails, it should send an email to each person asking them to sign on and set a password, or some kind of notification. Is there a module that does this for d6? Temporary discussion groups

Hey everyone! My second question. :) Is possible create a system like a mailing list with private messages? The idea is: User click in a link and join's to discussion group to debate about product. Image field should accept any size image file and Covert it to 2MB.

I have many content types in project(13) and each content type has got a 7-8 image fields.Till now I was not restricting the max upload size from widget settings .It used to take from php settings only and throw error if uploaded file size is exceeding the max upload size. Now I need to allow any size file to be get uploaded and while saving on server It should get saved with reduce in file size to 2MB without loss in quality of resolution of Image . Could you please suggest me any such available for doing so. Thanks in advance. Regards, Mahesh

In filezilla for example it is called owner, group and Public permissions, but this all boils down to the same point: You should not have to make a file world/public/other - accessible if you want to keep your pants on ;-) So right now maybe the file has the following denominations: drwxrwxr-x daniel daniel yourfolder which means that the group and owner bits are daniel if I want to change it to make it accessible not the world/other/public then I have to set it chmod 750 Now apache cannot access it, so I have two options: 1. I chown the folder (and subcontent - use with greatest care): chown -R daniel.www-data yourfolder This would be the option that you choose if you have a shell access or someway to change the group of your files. 2. I just add apache to the group daniel (not recommended) (and yes, technically speaking it is user (u) group (g) and other (o) as in the bash-script that I use to correct my drupal permissions if I messed something up see http://mentalitea.com/drupalpermissions.) looking for an existing drupal theme

Hi all, I'm moving my humble little blog to Drupal. It mostly has code snipets (SHELL commmands & scripts, awk invokations, several small pieces of PHP, Javascript, OCaml, Lisp code) No real tree organisation, it's all flat, organised by tags/categories My wish is to make - no fixed width - color palette for easy reading that kind of content I described (no flashy colors) - syntax highlighting for the code snipets (I think I'll make it browser side, Javascript then, might be not included in the theme module) Would you know an existing theme on http://drupal.org that would suit my needs? Strange AJAX error

Dear All I have an auto complete text field , where user types and if corresponding entry is present in database, I show it to user using below code. *$matches = array(); if ($string) { $result = db_select('resubmt_skill_ids') ->fields('skill_ids', array('name', 'id')) ->condition('name', db_like($string) . '%', 'LIKE') ->range(0, 10) ->execute(); foreach ($result as $skill) { $matches[$skill->name] = check_plain($skill->name); } } drupal_json_output($matches); * Lets say one user wanted to type *.net*, as soon as user types *.n* I get below error. * An AJAX HTTP error occurred. HTTP Result Code: 403 Debugging information follows. Path: http://localhost/example.com/util/known/skillsets StatusText: Forbidden ResponseText: 403 Forbidden Forbidden You don't have permission to access /util/known/skillsets/.n on this server. Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80 * Can somebody help me why this error comes and how can I avoid it. Thanks Austin

This is not a problem of your permissions but of the owner of the files then, in linux the three parts for the permission system are for Owner - Group - World in a standard server setup the apache or whatever server serves your pages should be in the group, this can be www-data or www-server or similar. you can check which group by typing in $|ps aux | grep apache | ||

Multisite Paths

[ Ubuntu-12.04.1; Drupal-7.17 ] *ONE* I have a directory of images at, /var/www/sites/example.com/images and a "Basic Page" node with this HTML within it: <a href="sites/example.com/images/jim.jpg">Jim</a> Going to the page and clicking on the "Jim" link, does display the image correctly. However, the URL in my browser shows this: http://example.com/sites/example.com/images/jim.jpg Shouldn't that be: http://example.com/images/jim.jpg ? Why the extra, initial "example.com/sites"? *TWO* If I use this anchor instead, <a href="images/jim.jpg">Jim</a> the browser bar displays http://example.com/images/jim.jpg But the page produces this error message instead of the JPEG: The requested URL "/images/jim.jpg" was not found on this server.
