general form errors

I have a form of (n) checkboxes that are generated at creation time. I'd like to set an error if none of the checkboxes are checked, but not any one of the checkboxes in particular. There doesn't seem to be a good way to set an error except for setting an error on every checkbox. Does anyone have a better way to tell the user not to send a blank form? Drupal 6. Thanks. -Don-

customizing language switcher in D7

Hi all, I am building a multi language site in Drupal 7 and use the regular language switching block. Positioning the block and language links is not a problem. I can't find how to add a character between the different languages in D7. I have found D6 samples. but none that work in D7. :-( How can I add a | character between the language switching links? Thanks. Bert P.S. I am using a Zen based subtheme

Arranging multiple blocks in custom region

Using Drupal 7 I am customizing the front page on a web site I am developing for my own (commercial) use. I used the Zen theme as a base, created a subtheme etc. which went well. After creating a tpl.php file just for the front page, I have now added a custom region (between the main content and the footer) and added three blocks to this custom region using the Block Administration page of the theme. Using weights I can arrange the order of the three blocks I have, provided I want them one below the other. However, I want them side-by-side and I want each block to have some custom formatting. After Googling the drupal site I found this link http://drupal.org/node/1151704 which seems to address my problem. Since I am new to Drupal I thought I would see if there are any other solutions beside the one in the link? I should also add that before adding the custom region I had added custom PHP code (and corresponding statements in a CSS file) to place the three blocks approximately where I wanted them on the page. However, while they were separated from the main content region, no matter what I did the Footer got intermixed with my block content, hence the Googling described above. Suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Node/add and edit forms missing form components

Gang, On a D7.12 install upgrade from Drupal 6, there is one content type with form elements missing at the bottom, everything below the "menu" box (all the ones in the new vertical tabs are missing except menu). The Save/Delete buttons are there. Any clues? How do I debug this? Shai Gluskin

I am using CKEditor but find that it is inserting a paragraph with a blank at the end of any source code I edit causing my layout to get out of whack. Does tinymce also do this? Thanks -- *Anthony Stefan Maciejowski*
