Got it. Just a drupal_add_js and a few lines of jquery.I'm working on a D6 site that is fairly extensive and for whatever reason was created without using Views. The modules all make use of pager queries and theme_pager. After looking at links for hours and still coming up empty, I hereby plead for someone to point me to a tutorial or example (or module?) for taking the standard theme_pager pager and changing it to use AJAX for paging rather than reloading the page. There are a number of ways I could approach it, but I'm sure it's been done umpteen times already, so I'd rather use someone else's wheel :-)

I sympathize with your frustration. Evreything I know about php, CSS, jQuery, data modeling - it all seems to go right out the window with Drupal. So, I am frustrated too. But you seem to have found a good, patient, and knowledgeable source of help here. So, hang in there. Suggestion for Slider Module for Banner

I am a developing a subtheme of Zen for D7 and would like to have a slideshow covering ca. the top 1/3 of the front page where slides change at intervals I have decided and - nice but not required - the fade in/fade out effect varies between slides per my decision. I have looked at the list of slider modules on drupal.org and found a fair number but does the group have any particular recommendations/suggestions? Thanks.

Exception error in Drupal 7

I made a copy of our server site that I am developing, both database and drupal 7 file system and installed it on my home Fedora 16 box. It works ok but http://localhost/mysite/admin/structure/types/add <http://localhost/eal/admin/structure/types/add> fails with the below error: -- mysql is started and running, other things on the localhost site seem to work ok --Adding content works. --Creating new or altering taxonomies works. --Roles and permissions works. --Workbench Access works. --There are no reports in - recent log messages. --No errors on the server site. Containment issue with accordion

Hi, I am working with a glossey adaptive theme and I have a toggle (shortcode) that produces a [accordion] content section in the center area of a 3 column page, I want to include a list of images in the right column but when I do the accordion breaks containment by going past the bottom of the page instead of pushing it larger. If I take the images out of the right column it works correctly. I added clearfix in a number of containers in the center and the right column and I noticed that it is already added in a number of places by drupal. Create and manage content directly from the database.

Hi, I am creating a booking management application and the bookings are largely generated and managed from a MS Access front end working directly on a MySQL database.. Now we need to integrate these bookings into the Drupal website so that users can add or update bookings for themselves.. I have created a content type with the required fields and now need to work out how to create content directly with SQL from MS Access.. Has anyone ever created content this way or have any idea which tables need records created/updated?? Unfortunately the system needs to be able to be updated from the Drupal site and from the MS Access application so imports and feeds won't work.. Thanks for any ideas or help..

Maybe I can put it a slightly different way for you. Could be you've been hacking databases so long that you are programmers, and don't know it. The fact that you thought of this and feel comfortable with the idea leads me to think so. OTOH I couldn't agree more with the other postings; to put it plainly I'd recommend working with Drupal straight out, and going from there. Doing uber-tricky stuff like working directly on the backend database is really advanced, and for a beginner the odds of it leading to pain and suffering are high. Just my two cents.
