2 content types feeding 2 separate columns on home page

I know I can do this, I am just trying to wrap my mind around it. I am developing a theme / website for a media outlet. They need a column for recent articles and a column for recent videos on the home page. They need to be fed blog-style as they are published. What is the best way to go about this? Thank you SO much! Modules Disabled After Updates

Linking to other nodes in a node

Hello, I'm looking after a solution for the following problem with Drupal 7: I want to add to a node a link to other nodes. When I edit, I want to see a kind of dropdown where I can choose the other node (preferably only 1 kind of node type) and then you see a link with the title to the other node. Is this possible with some kind of CCK-field ? Thank you Steven

Changing display of a field

Using migrate to import files as nodes and folder hierarchy preservation

All the files have proper html as the body text and the description should be what is called "teaser" or Summary in drupal. I have seen that the migrate module has the files.inc as a plugin which might be made for this case. However I have quite a lot of files and need to import the structure of the folder and also images that are also contained within these folders all in place. Ideally the pictures would also become nodes or otherwise available in drupal... Path alias should be preserved so that the old links will keep working. The folder with the files is basically providing the structure for the path alias: (see in the attached text file directory listing of the files... for example it should create a normal file under: heilkunst/psychologie/aerztliches-handeln If migrate is not the module to use which one should I use in my case? greetings, Daniel

Form with GET method - best practice?

Hi, I am quite new to Drupal and I want to build a search form that uses the GET method and that puts only the search value into the GET variables, e.g. the form is on http://mysite.com/search and when the user enters "term" and clicks Submit, he arrives at http://mysite.com/search?q=term Is there a best practice for that? This solution seems to work, http://drupal.org/node/1391612#comment-5420728 however it still additionally puts the "form_id" value into the GET variables.
