D6 Imagecache / Apache weirdness

I'm posting this here rather than the imagecache queue, because it appears to be more of an Apache issue than a problem with imagecache. Lots of hair pulling boiled down to this: 1. If a request is made for an image that exists in the imagecache directory, it is served up 2. If a request is made for an image that is Not in the directory (i.e. default/files/myfile.jpg, the request being default/files/imagecache/100x27/myfile.jpg), Apache returns a 500 error 3. The 500 error is returned WITHOUT hitting index.php 4. default/files has the correct ownership and, for now, 777 permissions

Ah, never mind. Turns out there WAS a difference in the apache config...a bad rewrite rule.

Have a fairly straight-forward D6 site except that it's set up to have an admin. which has it's own settings file, for the purposes of using https, not using memcache, and having a separate cookie...everything else including the db is set the same. Created a new module with a menu callback of api/mymodule/ajax which returns html that is used to add another row of teasers to a display. Calling it in .click() via .ajax() On my local system, it all works fine, whether www. or admin. When it's moved to qa servers, admin. works fine but www. returns a 301 and redirects to the front page. Views2: Integrate custom table using two key identifiers

Hi, is it possible to integrate a custom table into the views2 world that needs a two column match for the join? The code I have right now (in a hook_views_data implementation) is this: $data['custom_table']['table']['join'] = array( 'users' => array( 'left_table' => 'other_custom_table', 'left_field' => 'field_1', 'field' => 'field_1', ), ); This is working for the moment, but I need to bind in another join criterion on another field, in pseudo-code that would be something along these lines: $data['custom_table']['table']['join'] = array( 'users' => array( array( 'left_table' => 'other_custom_table', 'left_field' => 'field_1', 'field' => 'field_1', ), array( 'left_table' => 'other_custom_table', 'left_field' => 'field_2', 'field' => 'field_2', ), ), ); The resulting query would resemble this: SELECT ... FROM cutomer_table c1 LEFT JOIN other_custom_table c2 ON (c1.field_1 = c2.field_1 AND c1.field_2 = c2.field_2) Is this possible with views2? Thanks for any thoughts, best regards, berliner

Config issue on my site.

On my remote site tony-mac.com I tried to install media module but got an error when I tried to enable it (in drush) about not enough memory. So i deleted the single line php.ini file, whose 1 line command was saying increase memory to 128m, in the root of the drupal install and then went and changed the memory setting in php.ini file in the root of the site - dir above public_html. Then added 128 memory line to settings.php. (and as I still have not figured out how to get site aliases to work I can not connect and sync to local site, which I know I should have one before messing with the remote). Drupal 7 AHAH/AJAX issue

Hi List I am trying to learn ajax stuff in Drupal 7. I want to have a simple questionnaire form. Where I will have a single textfield. In that text field one will type a question category, and if he wants to type more question categories, user need to click a button "Add More Categories". When ajax callback fires, I want to remember how many textfields I need to add, so that when a section of form is updated in _form() hook, I can according add those many textfields. I am trying to manage that using a variable "$all_categories" and form element $form['all_categories'] (of type value). I tried many options, always I find $all_categories value is 1. So I am unable to add more textfields. My observation is whatever I set in ajax callback, in _form hook api, I find value is lost. Kindly guide me what I am missing. changing dtabase password question

I want to change that main connection password to our drupal database (we've had a potential security breach) without effecting the user experience in a bad way. I know the connection is in settings.php and how to use phpMyAdmin, mysql etc. My question is... can I just create a new user and password in phpMyAdmin for my drupal database and then flip to that in my settings.php (during a time I don't expect anyone using it) and expect that all will be well or is there a better / safer process to follow? Has anyone done this? Katie

development copy of site fails

Hi people, I have been asked to make changes to a Drupal 6 site that was _not_ developed by me. To make sure the changes don't break anything I want to set up a local copy of the site. The first thing I need to do is remove a Google Maps install. This is done using modules and not in the theme files. When starting the local copy the Google Maps script tells me I need a new key and then throws me to the home page. I can log in as admin, but the message for the Google maps key keeps popping up and throwing me to the home page. I disabled every module containing gmaps in the name directly in the database, but that didn't change a thing. I assumed the key was linked to the domain name, but even setting the URLs in the hosts file and creating new virtual hosts in Apache didn't solve the problem. No matter what page I request I still get only the home page and can't get into the admin pages. I then pointed maps.google.com to the 127.0.0.1. That got rid of the request for a new key, but nothing else changed. :-( I even removed the theme directories. That only remove the styling, but not the problem of the stuck home page. I am totally stuck. I really need to get this site totally functioning to be able to do the changes. Any tips are appreciated. Bert

I'll try og with panels, on your recommendation, it may solve a problem. However nat and workbench are two that I do not want in the new sandpit and neither can be removed just by switching off and deleting the modules. Workbench in particular once initiated, seems very difficult to eliminate. I'm not messing with or second guessing core. I understand that most tables are created when a module is installed but the problem is that these are difficult to remove as are the fields placed in other tables which reference those modules. I was not clear on what I've done and what I propose to work on for the next development step. I have an installed fresh drupal 7 sandpit installation with all of the modules core modules and modules we use in the live system. I have not installed Workbench and nat in the sandpit. I intend to use panels to build displays, and as panels also provides for isolating users and displays I may not even need og. I have 20+ taxonomy vocabs with associated terms most referenced in some way or with relationships to other taxonomy or content types. 50 users with permissions and 30+ roles. I have 14 content types and plenty of content in each. I have 25 rules. Nat and workbench seem to have fields in most of the content types and taxonomy tables and this causes error messages and other problems when nat and wb are not installed. I need to have just the field structure and data for content types, content, taxonomy, users, roles, rules and permissions in the sandpit and have tried backup-migrate and mysql to create and populate just those tables. As an aside, if I do a mysql install of backup-migrate of the database and do not have the live site Mayo theme, but instead have the Adaptive sub theme, nothing works. I hope my explanation goes some way to understanding the problem and why I am asking for assistance. thanks Roger
