I had these same issues. I needed to work with SendGrid to get my forms to work but I don't like using any third party. I do use the smtp module and debugging is fine. Settings for gmail are spelled out. I would also just check your permissions. Make sure all of admin is checked. I disable all logging from the beginning so I don't forget. I don't really care about it. Anyway, you may want to at least google drupal and sendgrid. Take care. Security Review Module Issue

We've had some chatter on this mailing list about problems with the Security Review module on upgrading to drupal 7.24 I think there may be a solution : see https://drupal.org/node/2142621 I'm new to drupal/PHP but what I can see is that the patch offered there is for a very simple code change, and is perhaps an example of an outdated function call being replaced by a more secure on. Getting restws configured

Taking Lucas's suggestion of using restws, I have configured the path in the module as such: function mymodule_restws_resource_info() { return array( 'mymodule_person' => array( 'label' => t('Person'), 'class' => 'PersonResourceController', 'menu_path' => 'api/person', ), ); } That part seems to work, because when I send a POST transaction via Advanced Rest Client in chrome, I get a 200 response (I get a 404 if I change the request url). That said, in the module I also throw an error if attempting an update, delete or read. When I send any of those, I still get a 200 response. Any of GET, POST, PUT or UPDATE gives me Response does not contain any data including the create method in the resource controller, so it's not firing. No attributes contained in Drupal7 Services xml parse

With Drupal 7 Services, a REST server receiving a POST create request, the callback is receiving an array with the xml tag types but not the attribute data. "Editable Fields"

Hi Folks, I have a content-type with a taxonomy. I want to display a view of content title and taxonomy in a grid. I want to display the taxonomy as a set of checkboxes so I can review all of the content and make global changes from just the one view. This raises the question about the difference between a field's display and edit characteristics. If i want to display a node, I can call node_load() and so on... Suppose I want to display a node for edit? How does this internal processing differ, because obviously the result is substantially different. I suspect there is some magic that turns the page into a form, and that becomes the substance of my question. If I have a field, how to I change it from a "display" field to an editable "form" field? To further qualify the question: I could easily create a custom formater and display the taxonomy field is a set of HTML checkboxes, but how do I discover these display characteristics, like label, colon and position; Alpha or numeric order; and then there are all the styling <div>s, which should be consistent with other fields on the page. These things are all specified in the original content type and I think I should make the effort to recognize and honor these choices, so I need to know how and where they are stored, and I don't currently know, but I think it is probably in the "page" ==> "form" magic. -- Chris.

Date Token issue

I have several date fields (Date_api 7.x-2.6); I don't seem to be able to get any of them to be replaced, even though they have values. For example [node:field-po-approval-date:value]; I have tried it both with dashes and with underscores. Tokens other than date fields seem to be working. What am I doing wrong? Nancy

.htaccess in /tmp for Drupal 7?

Greetings, I'm almost finished (fingers crossed) to update a website I manage to drupal 7.24 Everything seems OK and I've already updated the .htaccess files in sites/*/files/ as explained in https://drupal.org/SA-CORE-2013-003 The only thing I'm not sure about is where that page says: Additionally, the .htaccess of the temporary files directory and private files directory (if used) should include this command: Deny from all my temporary files directory as shown in /admin/config/media/file-system is /tmp (private file system path is empty). Should I put an ..htaccess in /tmp too??? I believe not, but I'd rather have confirmation. Thanks! Marco

security review

I had the security review module installed but removed it. Thought that doing so would solve this problem when trying to upgrade drupal from 7.23 to 7.24: "require_once(__DIR__/security_review.inc): failed to open stream: No [warning] such file or directory security_review.drush.inc:9 Drush command terminated abnormally due to an unrecoverable error. drush archive-dump selected directories

FYI: I am new to drupal, drush and PHP but am an experienced programmer in other areas. Am familiar and comfortable with the command line. I use drush on both Linux and Mac. I have a drupal site to archive, but there are many directories under the filesystem root which are not part of the site. NOTE: This has happened because I use Hostmonster and add-on domains are "added on" under the site root. I know that archive-dump has an exclude option and I could chain a couple of dozen 'excludes' but that's not nearly as 'elegant' as chaining seven 'includes' - which would be includes, misc, modules, profiles, scripts, sites, themes Any ideas? thanks -- Tim tim at tee jay forty nine dot com or akwebsoft dot com http://www.akwebsoft.com, http://www.tj49.com
