Drupal 7 - Strange behavior with Apache SOLR search

Dear All I have indexed a salary field for all individuals. If I search without any conditions, I get all the records properly. Now I need to search with conditions. Need to get records where salary is in a particular range. I am trying a simple code as below. *$conditions['fq'][0] = 'salary:[2 TO 6]'; $results = apachesolr_search_search_execute($keys, $conditions); * I get almost 90% records correct. But I got few records where salary value is 22. Clearly 22 is not in the range of 2 to 6. Can somebody point out whats the wrong here. In another case I tried to search as *$conditions['fq'][0] = 'salary:[2 TO 10]'; $results = apachesolr_search_search_execute($keys, $conditions); * I did not get any record. I wanted to get records where salary is in between 2 to *10*. I do not know whats wrong here, mostly the presence of 10 is creating problem. Somebody please help.., or at least point to documentation where I can refer and learn. Best Regards kamal

Richard, Thanks, I guess we're getting closer to a solution. The version is red hat 5.3. I did what you suggested: The pathing to the binary from inside the application is: /usr/lib/python2.4 If I call the same python script from the server CMD then the pathing is: /usr/local/lib/python2.7 Now how can I change the calling to python call to be python2.7, what should I put in my python script, it starts with import sys ... I'm not a python expert! Would appreciate your help. It's a linux machine > and uses LAMP. > > Thanks, Katy I suspect that the pathing for the python reference is pointing to a non-standard location (i.e., not the system default location, given that you say the system version is 2.7) and that the version installed there was changed in some fashion. To figure things out, find the module(s) that are calling python and check the pathing to the binary, then check things from there. The solution may be as easy as changing the pathing on the python call to the system-default location. By the way, what linux distribution and release/version? - Richard

online Drupal course?

Hi All, I took over a project which involves LAMP, Drupal6 and Python. So far I've done programming mostly in PHP or Python without understanding exactly how Drupal works. Everything was going OK but now the application is behaving very weird, there are some system changes that I'm sure I didn't do (at least directly) and no one else. So at this point I really need to understand how Drupal works (high level). I got books from library but honestly Drupal seems too complicated to me. Is there any source I can use to learn Drupal mostly at system level? I will pay. Best, Katy

Menu Contextual Links

I went to a lot of effort to get the menu links the way the designer wanted them, only to find the contextual links for the menu occupying some space at the right end of the menu bar. This is a Zen subtheme in D7. I really need to get the nav bar to span 100% left to right. Anyone have any advice on what to do with the links? I don't mind them even going completely away as long as all the other blocks keep theirs. May the peace of God be with you. Nancy E. Drupal Apache Solr Filtering

Dear All I have some documents indexed in SOLR. I have added a new field salary to index. Now I want to search all the documents associated with salary range X to Y. Can somebody guide me how to do it in Drupal. Thanks kamal

This has nothing to do with Drupal, it's pure HTML. You can't submit a form from a different page, since it isn't rendered. Something is wrong with your logic & design. Re-think what you want to do. If both forms are on the same page, you could do it with Javascript, but even that would be a bad design. drupal6 and python

I have a problem in Drupal 6! I'm using Python and all of a sudden the application is pointing to a different version of python. It used to be python2.7, now the application is pointed to python2.4 and it causes errors. I haven't changed anything! The server is pointing to 2.7, it's only the application. Do you have any idea where it's set, which file? It's a linux machine and uses LAMP. Thanks, Katy

Haven't tested this but maybe using HOOK_block_view_alter(&$data, $block) to unset() $data['content']['#contextual_links'] would do to get rid of the contextual links? Hi all, I am using Drupal 7 and have following scenario: 1. I have two different form on two different pages say /a and /b 2. When I submit form from /a page, in background I have to submit /b page form also. 3. I am not getting how I can do this? Can anyone give me some hint to do this.
