Advice on structure

Hi All, Perhaps someone has a good idea on the best way to structure this functionality.. I have an established site that takes bookings for activities.. The content type has a date/time field, a reference field to the customer and various other administrative fields including a reference to the price list used for that "booking".. The activities can include things like lunch or other options all listed on the price list.. So we now want functionality that will a) show the costing for the activity (time based per hour) and b) the costs for optional extras along with c) the total cost.. I have attempted to use plain decimal fields for each of the costs and then populate the values using Rules but the logic is proving too complex for rules.. I suppose I could use PHP code in the rules to handle the logic.. The second option I have thought of is to use Computed Fields and some PHP code to calculate the individual values and then perhaps rules to total them up after the node is saved.. Is there any other way to do it that doesn't require expert coding skills since I am a builder rather than a developer?? Thanks for any thoughts..

Drupal 6 - File upload not wotking when lightbox2 and jquery_upload enabled together.

Hi All, I have drupal 6 project, in which I have enabled jquery update module and lightbox2 module. If I disabled jquery update module then only my file upload option works but lightbox2 slideshow is not working. I want to work below both the functionality together: 1. file upload - [using core js] 2. lightbox2 slideshow - [using upadated js] I tried https://drupal.org/node/1058168 also for hook_js_alter with js_alter module for drupal 6 but its wont works for me. Drupal 6 --> 7 upgrade - rogue PHP code / delete page?

Hello all -- I recently completed a test Drupal 6 to 7 upgrade on our library site, and all seemed to be well except that our old cron job will not run -- it appears to die on a white screen with the words "Number of pages". I did some digging via drush cron, and discovered that a page I had built in Drupal 6 with PHP code listing the total number of website pages contained a PHP function referencing "db_result", which apparently is not supported in Drupal 7. My problem now is that I cannot delete the 'rogue' page from Drupal 7. I can find the page easily enough, but it displays only as white screen with text and none of the usual edit / delete tabs. Is there a way to delete a Drupal node without actually landing on that node? (Note also that I have the node alias from the Drupal 6 install, but do not know the node number of the page in D7.) Issues with pdo abstraction with 1:many data

I have the following code: $query = db_query('SELECT * FROM table1 t1 LEFT JOIN table2 t2 ON t1.id = t2.id'); $msg = $query->fetchAllAssoc('id'); Since it is 1:many data, I would expect id 1 another t1 field another t1 field t2 value 1 more t2 from that row t2 value 2 more t2 from that row id 2 But I only get 1 t2 row for each t1. Hi All, We would like to replicate the following page into DRUPAL http://www.cs.stonybrook.edu/students/undergrad/CSEcourses.html We have content type of courses. We are struggling to find a solution on how or the best way to show the 4 semesters. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

D6: Viers: only nodes with a webform attached to them?

The files directory error is just a permissions problem. You need to first make the private directory in ../private (outside of root). Then chmod that to 777. For your drupal directories, checkout this article: https://drupal.org/node/244924. This script rocks. Run it from your server root, not drupal and follow the directions carefully. This will correct everything within your drupal directory. I swear by this. Since the private directory is outside of that, it won't touch it which is why I do it manually - chmod 777 private. Refresh and that error will go away. UPDATE: right after posting the request below, I found something online AND realized I had maybe missed to provide some information. Namely, I found this discussion: https://drupal.org/node/326061 but I don't think is applicable to my case, because I cannot create new content types etc. I have to create a view that is decently printable of upcoming events, with start and end dates, that are ALREADY inserted by others in the standard drupal 6.x calendar. I hope someone can help me with Drupal 7 views. We have a scenario where events have a lot of repeating dates. For instance, one lot of events may occur every Wednesday for a year in various venues or another every third Monday for the year in similar venues. There are 100+ events held across a 30+ venues in 5 states every week. We have many similarly named events and the calendar format is very cluttered. I am having trouble creating a view which displays each event with it's appropriate title, venue and locality as a heading but shows only start time and limited from now +up to 7 days. Effectively categorising events to a venue/state. Event name, Venue Locality and State are taxonomy terms. States have many venues. Event name has many venues. No matter what I do the view shows redundant data - previous dates for past weeks and future dates for a month or so. And will not categorise event names to a venue or locality. It filters on term from field_event_venue: Field state title, field_event_date = now, Published, Venue. Sorted on Date - start date(asc) Taxonomy Locality is grouped to State Venue is grouped to Locality and to State Most perplexed Help is greatly appreciated Roger
