make entity reference of translated node save source entity

I have an untranslated node-type (A) referencing to a translatable node-type (B); My problem is that having A1 reference to B1en A2 reference to B1es if I create a view and want to see all items which reference to B1 I cannot, I have to check B1es or B1en. My biggest concern is to make the view work; I don't know if I should make entity reference save the link to original node (B1); or make views filter automatically translate B1 to "B1en OR B2es". Simple paint module?

Folks, I'm wondering if there is a basic paint module. I'd like to let students annotate existing images and draw simple images. It would need to download the image after editing and the original unedited image would need to be available for others. Bill William Prothero http://es.earthednet.org

searching for a download file counter

I would like a file download counter, but am having no luck using drupal 7.25. Could anyone help or offer advice in this area please? Public Download Count https://drupal.org/project/pubdlcnt I installed this module, but I see nothing in the public report, it is empty even after I download files myself. I remember this module in drupal 6 and it modified the url, and if this is still how it works then I don't want to use it. Track da files https://drupal.org/project/track_da_files requires another module that installed, but still never worked after configuring it to count download for everyone. Reported installs: 34 File download count https://drupal.org/project/file_download_count but there is no documentation, low usages and in the issues there is no help one thing nice is it will count public and private files. Reported installs: 85 Download Count https://drupal.org/project/download_count If I could some how convert my files from public to private I'd try this module. my sight and download is public so only reason to convert would be for this module. My apologies for the misleading post. I put the garland new theme, renamed sandbox, in /sites/all/themes, I simply neglected to specify the absolute path in my post. I do understand that core themes are overwritten, thanks anyway. Unfortunately there is much much more to theming than is apparent in the Zen guidelines. Having read the Zen theming guide and others and worked across a number of issues thus created, I opted for a quick" cop out theme" tool that" just worked" that I could simply recreate if messed up. I have studied themes created by other very competent drupal themers and find few if any comply strictly with W3C guidelines but that is a problem caused by other issues that I prefer to not comment on. Also, having worked briefly in RubyOn Rails applications and theming for that scenario I find Drupal/php theming quite ill conceived and overly complex. If one understands the RoR framework scenario and applies that to Drupal instead of just plain CMS, one finds lines along which Drupal could develop which make site development so much easier. Drupal theming

Hi all. I gave up on creating theme from Zen and simply made a new theme from a copy of Garland. Just copied Garland theme to my /themes folder, renamed, changed the .info and replaced all instances of garland with my theme name in the template.php and theme-settings.php files. Seems to work, looks neat, changes colours ok. Garland has a printer friendly output link which displays in Admin but not as user. The browser display of printed version is wrong and quite unlike the actual pdf created when I <CTRL P> and print to pdf. Also displays header and url and main menu links on the top of the print page with tags and system date at the bottom of page, I dont want any of this so am completely stuck on how to modify the print out. There's a lot of google pages but nothing helps and with the majority being for drupal 6 or just plain wrong are of no help at all. Don't understand where to look or what to do to modify things, Can someone please help Thanks Roger

Haven't done it for while, but if I remember correctly there should be a selection to customise CKEditor in the Configuration - Content Authoring - WYSIWYG Profiles. I've just installed WYSIWYG 7.x-2.2 and CKEditor (3.6.3.7474) and can't find a setting to turn on header tag (h2, h3, etc.) buttons. Anyone know how to get them? Nancy

I installed the APC opcode caching and Memcache, and then on suggestions here tweaked the MySQL configuration. Overall massive improvement. Improving performance

Hi Guys and Girls, can anyone recommend a good general discussion site or place where I can read about Drupal caching. Currently running Memcache and APC - the PHP accelerator, but not sure whether there would be anything to gain by implementing Drupals caching as well. Wouldn't mind finding some way of measuring the effects of the various performance enhancements. Are there any downsides to Memcache and APC? Hugs Alison

Hi Jamie, Phil, thanks for the info Jamie, much appreciated. As to sharing Phil, happy to do so. A little bit about my setup. I am retired and run a Centos 6.5, Apache, MySQL webserver in my lounge room. The server is home built - Gigabyte mobo, Intel processor, Kingston RAM, etc. I have a second similar server as a backup and development machine. I get 1.5Mb upload speed which is adequate to support half a dozen low traffic Drupal based sites. When I say low traffic, we are looking at 30-50 hits a day for each site The sites tend to be more personal interest sites rather than commercial ie. personal Blogs etc. The hits tend to be clustered based on chronology and demographic. Typically might get 20-30 hits over a couple of hours on a site and then nothing for 20 hours. During the quiet period had problems with Drupal cache's timing out, so first hit was then incredibly slow. I installed memcache via Drupal.org and memcache status using their instructions. This seemed to help, but still getting very slow first responses. I then did following: [root@webserver ~] yum install php-pear php-devel httpd-devel pcre-devel gcc make [root@webserver ~] pecl install apc [root@webserver ~] service httpd restart This being suggested by a google search. The pecl install seems to have included an initial setup as many questions were asked. As I have massive amounts of RAM available, I increased all resources in /etc/php.d/apc.ini apc.shm_size = 128M apc.num_files = 4096 apc.user-entries = 4096 apc.ttl - 21600 apc.user_ttl - 21600 apc.gc_ttl = 14400 apc.max_file_size = 5M. Then did a [root@webserver ~] service httpd restart. There is a really neat tool to see what's happening. Copy apc.php from docs directory to site root, and the run example.com/apc.php.
