Disappearing CCK fields

I have a content type with three CCK fields: description, address and type. I have made a custom module with form_alter changing certain aspects of these fields on the node create form...wrapping them in a css class, altering the description, weight, etc. I noticed today that the custom module was not only not having an effect but that the CCK fields themselves had disappeared from the node create form. Odd! I disabled the custom module and back they came. then I rolled the database back about 10 days, reinstalled the custom module and everything was working fine. So now I am trying to work out what is different between the june 3rd sql dump and the june 18th sql dump and it's driving me crazy. I don't think the custom module is the problem as it's just a 10 line form_alter function that was working perfectly until some point between june 3rd and 18th. The other thing is in that custom module, today I put the following to find out what fields/variables were in the form: print $form_id; $form['form_array'] = array( '#value' => '<pre>'. print_r($form, 1) .'</pre>', '#weight' => '99', ); with the june 3rd sql dump, I'm getting all the CCK fields printed below, showing me all the arrays and variables I can access and alter. In the june 18th sql dump, none of that is coming up at all. It's as if they don't exist. When I go to Content Types, everything is normal, the fields are there, etc. Has anyone heard of something like this before? Any clues where I could start looking? Neil

Block cache doesn't play nice with my module

On further testing of my new module I've discovered that for anonymous users strange values are being displayed in the generated block. I've determined that this is due to block cache. I turned it off on my production version and it seems to be functioning correctly. I did not have this issue on my development box. As with my earlier problem with css for anonymous users, I would appreciate any thoughts on how I might deal with this. The vast majority of visitors to this site are going to be anonymous. Thanks

Some guidance with views needed

Hi all, Hope you can help me a bit. I have two node types, Company and Division, Division has a node reference to Company. The view has exposed filters for Node Type=Company or Division, Division Title and Company. Currently the view correctly returns all of the Divisions within a Company when you select a Company from the exposed filter, however, what i need to do is to modify the results so that i show the Company node that the view has been filtered on at the top of the results. What I am having trouble with is knowing where to add the code to modify this result. So far i have been trying to insert this via template files without much success: I can see that the Company drop down filter has node id's in the #value that would allow me to do a node_load, but this seems to only be available in views-exposed-form.tpl.php and doesn't seem to allow me to output the node information before the rest of the view. i.e. Select company B in exposed filter would result in: Company B node Division of Company B node 1 Division of Company B node 2 Division of Company B node 3 Division of Company B node n Where should i be looking to intercept the display of the view so that i can insert the company node at the top ? Should I be looking at hooks or template files ? I have already messed around with relationships, but that doesn't seem to be giving me the correct result that i require. Node, taxonomy and no entry for taxonomy/term/X

Hi all, I need to import 6000+ contents from a textfield. One field of old DB is my "taxonomy" so I have a table where I can associe old taxonomy with new taxonomy. CSS lost for anonymous users

On further testing my new module I discovered that all the styling disappears for anonymous users. This is drupal 6. What makes it more interesting and more difficult to debug is this does not happen on my development box, only on the production server. In looking into this I've noted that this behaviour is not unknown but those instances I've read about have little in common with mine. Any thoughts on what I should look for? I've gone ahead and moved the module style sheet into the theme directory so all appears okay now but I'd like the module to be stand alone as I've submitted it for consideration to the drupal community. Selling domains and hosting using drupal

Hellos, I am looking into creating a website using drupal where users will be able to buy domain names and hosting space The process will be:- 1. User checks the availability of the domain 2. If available, the user checks a checkbox to purchase a domain/domains 3. User selects the hosting package / If user does not want hosting space, they have an option of entering dns records where the domain will be pointed 4. the total is displayed and the user checksout 5. payment method-paypal and mobile money transfer(I will develop a module for this) Are there any modules that can handle this especially step 1 to 4? thanks James

trying to create zebra striping in custom block

I have a custom block showing the users whose content has attracted most pageviews. part of my code is this: print "<tr class=\""; print $zebra; print "\"><td>"; this is a drupal 6 installation and I don't seem to be able to get the odd/even classes I'm looking for. If I put print "odd", they all come out grey, "even" and they all come out white, so I know the syntax of the code is fine...I just can't get the zebra variable working. any tips what I'm failing to do?? Preventing an "add to cart" button when clicked to going to another page and just increment to the shopping cart

Hi, If I already have an ubercart shopping cart within the right sidebar block can I configure my Product content type so it does not go to another page when the "add to cart" button is clicked and just increments to the shopping cart (that is contained within the right sidebar block) which it already does. User/Security Issue

Hi: I defined my first user for Drupal, but that user must login every time they access a different page in the system. What happens is: they log into the system, then change to a new page. When trying to change to the new page, the message comes up: "Access denied. You are not authorized to access this page." They are invited to login and as soon as they do that, the page is made available. This happens on every change of page. We tried lowering the IE security from Medium HIgh to Medium on the advice of a friend, but this didn't change anything. We also told IE to always allow cookies in a session. Still, no change. Please point us to a solution for this or to the relevant sections in the Guides for such issues. Thank you.
