Profile or content profile?

Hi all. I'm creating (for a client) a portal site. Now i need to manage users. In my past email I have ask for a migration utility/script/module from profile module to content profile modulo. But now I have a question: why I need to use content profile ? I have read that with content profile I can use cck fields (ok, tnx), but why ? Profile is usable vith views, so I can (for example) create a view where display only people from Italy. When content profile is better than profile ? Tnx. From profile to content profile. is there some import tool ?

Looking for a contact form solution

Howdy Drupal Community, I have done a couple hours of research on this problem and have not found something that meets all my needs and I hoping that someone else here has worked through this and built some kind of recipe that bridges the gaps here. I have a site that will have about 200 people (authors and the like) that can be contacted through the site. Some people may find the information on the site controversial so we want to make sure that we are not putting author information out on the web without any filters. I want to make sure that anonymous users can send email to the authors without giving the authors email and ideally being able to track the use of the form and throttle its use to prevent SPAMing. Webform is the perfect solution because it separates users from email addresses, tracks form uses and throttles form submissions from registered and anonymous users. The problem with webform is as best as I can tell I would need to keep an author list in webform to email a specific author with it or pass the email in plain text through the URL. If there is a way to pass the UID and then send an email via the UID that would be the perfect solution. Any suggestions of how to approach this are very much appreciated. How to retrieve a menu links

Hi all. I need to create a menu for user's links (one to profile, one to "messages", one to "friends", etc etc). I have thinked to create this menu with a path like "<front>" (it is a validate link for the menu add item form) and in my preprocess_page function retrieve this menu, and substitute <front> with the correct link (that depends from $user->uid and other things). When I have make the changes I want to use theme('links') function for building the html code. But which is the correct drupal's function to call? Is this the correct approach ? Is theme some better ? Weekly view for Calendar, which shows hours for each day

Hi, I am trying to create a weekly view for the calendar. Like any PIM calendar (e.g. MS Office Calendar or Korganizer) has it, i need each day to shows hourly slabs. Currently, each day in the view is a simple box. The time column shows up something only if there is an event for the day. How can i do this? NJ

How to know if a post is new or not for an user (authenticated)

Hi all. I need to create a page (I will use views) that contains all my 20 last posts. But I need to attach an image to the new posts. Obviously "new" mean "the post the the authenticad user has not see". Is there a modulo or a snippet or a howto or a RTFM ? OG Unsubscribe Access Denied

Greetings, In OG 5.x-8.1 (presently, but this also affected earlier versions), the unsubscribe URL generated by !url_unsubscribe is /og/unsubscribe/### (where ### is the number of the group node). However, this URL results in an access denied, even for user 1. I found a few issues that were similar, but not quite right ( http://drupal.org/node/334665, or maybe https://drupal.org/node/562656), so I thought I'd ask here. Is there a missed a setting that would allow access to the /og/unsubscribe path or is this simply the wrong path? I've tried a few variations on that path, by hand, but every path is denied. OG Access Control, by the way, is not enabled.
