Hi All, Just wondering if anyone might be able to help me with either of these lightbox2 issues: 1) How do i get a .swf file to play in a lightbox ?? <a rel="lightbox" href="/sites/default/files/content/swf/studentzone- finance.swf">test</a> just clicks through to the swf- lightvideo/ lightmodal also don't work for me. There seems to be configuration for everything but this option and the issues listed in the queue seem to only show that i am running into the same problems - but no fixes. 2) Passing in the configuration for the lightbox via <a rel="lightframe [|width=400px;height=500px;scrolling: no;]" href="/sites/default/files/ apply2jobs.html"> <img src="/sites/default/files/images/search-jobs-btn.gif" ></a> doesn't result in a correctly dimensioned non scrolling window in either safari3 or ie6 (haven't tested others). Am I doing something wrong ?? Thanks for any help given, Nik

asynchronous/batch work (eg. sending emails)

I need to start long jobs that may have a huge load on server. These jobs need to access drupal DB and functions and continue asynchronously no matter what happens to the connection with client that started them. If I just needed the DB connection data I'd normally use exec() that would launch another script running asynchronously. Now I need some more functions from drupal and some of my modules. I was thinking to use drush but maybe I can have some better suggestion here. I'm aware of http://drupal.org/project/job_queue but the queue will be long and dense and cron granularity is not enough, sending out a bunch of jobs in the same cron tick may still be too much. Yeah it can be done... but maybe there is something better to handle heavy queues. views and filters: any help?

Hi, I hope to explain well my problem.I have a file in excel format. I saved it into .csv and imported with the node_import module.Now I hve about 1500 nodes and each column of the file is assigned to a cck field. So, about 12 cck fields, that's all ok. Suppose the matter is pc. Each node is a detailed information of a model. The node contains for example: processor type, ram, hard disk size, model (desktop/laptop/pda), etc etc. Now I made a view in which I can see all results in a table. The problem is that I'd like to use the filters exposed to the users. The user should have the ability to select the desired type of pc from a listbox (desktop, laptop, pda) and in another listbox select the preferred ram (512, 1024, 2048). My problem is that I have the two listbox, but, I'd like that if the user select desktop, in the other listbox it must appear only the value of ram of desktop model, instead, the second listbox shows all values of ram, regardless of the selected previews listbox. So if the user select PDA, the second listbox shows all values of ram, and obviously this is not good, because a PDA with 8 giga of ram is not present in the database. How can I solve this? any idea? thanks.

Lost "Input format" in views header section

Hi all. while I'm building a view I have see that my drupal installation do not permit me to change "input format" in the views header section. I don't know why this. I only see "Input format" words. If I see the html source I can see the input format's <div> (display: none). It's like that the JS that create the collapsible/collapse effect does not working anymore. I have disabled the devel module, but the problem remains. how to remove "readmore" and pagination from frontpage

Hi, I'm working for a site where in the front page there will be only the last "news" that user have inserted. I have set 1 for "Number of posts on main page:" in the node-settings page (admin/content/node-settings) Now in front page I have last node inserted but with "read more" link and the "paginator". See file attached. How can I remove them ? Showing menu items when user doesn't have permission to access node

What I'd like to do (what my client wants) is to have menu items for nodes with permissions restrictions to still be available. That way, the user gets a link to whatever supersecret page it is and gets challenged to log in if they are anonymous. Is this do-able? A search on drupal.org found lots of posts about making links disappear even when the node should be visible, but not the other way around. Obviously this would have to be done conditionally so as not to show all the admin links, so that makes things more complicated. My only thought at this point is to make a second menu item for each menu item that currently requires authentication, and somehow (using Menu Per Role perhaps?) make that menu item visible only to the anonymous user. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks, Steve
