Calculating the hashed user password

Folks: I have an external application (a Shockwave movie) that uses my Drupal site for user verification and interaction. I use the store, etc to sell access to my product. My external application accesses the users table to get the username, email, and password. My application compares the entered password with the Drupal password. This was pretty straightforward with Drupal 6, which used MD5 encryption. Now it uses SHA512. While perusing the Drupal 7 scripts, it looks like Drupal relies on the shell to hash the password. How can I, with a php script that runs outside of the Drupal environment, calculate the password that Drupal stores? I need this to be able to verify the user and determine the product licenses that he/she has purchased on my Drupal site. Thanks for any info. I am not a php expert. Understanding the 'user' node

I have removed the login block from a website, using the following method : Home » Administration » Structure » Blocks Select "Show block on specific pages" -> "Only the listed pages" And as per documentation entered "user". Works great, but someone could still tamper with my website by an easy guess (especially if they were familiar with drupal) and try to hack their way in. I created a page with a path alias of "hubris". The page shows when I am logged in as admin, but if I log out and request the page I get a "Page Not Found Error" but I do get the login block. Server error in Users

Hi Guys, I got a server error when trying to access the Users menu from the User Management. I am still using D6 version 6.26. Is this something to do with the Drupal version I am using? Please help. drupal7 filedepot navigation menuand tags issue

Dear All, I am new to drupal7. I have installed Filedepot **(7.x-1.0-rc1) module. I created a Filedepot folder from contents and then uploaded files. But I donot see the left navigation menu and tagging options for the files uploaded. Am I missing something ? please let me know Thanks Regards, krishna

D7 form state

Thanks, Joel. I loaded the backup version of the database and the problem was fixed. I re-selected the options for CKEditor and the problem occurred again. Turns out that the security setting on CKEditor breaks my site.

Upgrade Redirects to install.php

I have a site that is running Drupal 7.17 with a very standard set of modules and CiviCRM. When I upgrade the site all pages are redirected to install.php. I have checked and my sites folder is configured correctly and I have tried looking at the .htaccess files and anything else I could think of. I am at somewhat of a loss here. Not Reading CSS and Image links

I upgraded from 7.18 to 7.19 this morning. All indications were fine. I then worked on fixing a problem with CKEditor, including turning it on and off. I then discovered that my CSS file is not being read and images are not being found. Any ideas on how to fix this? TIA. Sue

caching css files D7

Hello, D7 has a configuration setup to "aggregate and compress css files". (and similarly with js). Ich did select both switches (CSS, Javascript). Now the source-code of the site shows me up to five css-files in the header, all same with media="all" and similarily four js-Files. All ass long string replacing the individual module files. I expected the configuration to yield just one of those files. Any idea wether this is ok or erraneous? Thanks Franz

How to extend the factors of content ranking?

Hi! What would be the best way to extend the factors of content ranking in drupals search by the (numeric) value of a specific field in a content type? E.g. I have a content type with a field 'rating' which takes values from 1 to 4. I want to see entities with a rating of 4 on top of the search results and the rest in descending order of the field 'rating'. Thanks in advance, Alex
