I ran *Drush UP* and get the following messages. Why does it complain about the images folder? Is this something related to GIT? *Code updates will be made to drupal core. Term Reference Tree question

Hi, In Drupal 7 I'm working on a module that deals with node forms. I must set some values from code. Actually what I do is save some user input and populate the node form with the values. I can easily modify field values from*hook_form_alter*except term_reference_tree. It looks like that when hook_form_alter gets called, the term_reference_tree field /only has some meta data/and doesn't contain the checkboxes for the tree. They are missing in*hook_field_attach_form*too. However, when I check the field upon form submit, the checkboxes are there. On form submit the field has a key*[#options]*and an array with the checkbox tree, but these keys are missing in hook_form_alter. There's a function *term_reference_tree_process_checkbox_tree*which I tried to call from my module. It builds the frame of the checkbox tree, but not the actual checkboxes. Output is like this: |[#options_tree] => Array ( ) [#options] => Array ( ) [0] => Array ( [#type] => checkbox_tree_level [#max_choices] => 1 [#leaves_only] => [#start_minimized] => [#depth] => 1 [#level_start_minimized] => ) | As you can see, the *#options* array is empty, and the checkbox array only has some default values. I tried to simply insert values in the array (and set the keys where they should belong), set *#checked*to true like with regular checkboxes, but when the form is presented to the user, these values got overwritten with empty values. I also tried to modify weight, to put my module before term_reference_tree, but it didn't help. Is there a way to check some checkboxes from code*/before/*it the form gets displayed to the user? I am not too familiar with term reference tree module, but I think there must be some function I can call or another hook I can catch to build the checkbox tree so I can populate it. Views filter against another field.

Hi, Does anyone know how to filter a view by comparing the value of two fields?? Longer description - I have a content type that has 3 date fields.. I want a view that shows all the content where the values in date_field_1 are different from the values in date_field_2.. I can only seem to filter based on set static vales or with date fields using strtotime expressions.. I can't see any way to do a comparison of two fields.. Thanks..

Drupal obfuscation

Dear All I am sorry if I am asking a wrong question here. But to proceed further I need your suggestion/advise. Is it legal to *obfuscation* <http://drupal.org/node/1288038> Drupal code base (that contains Druapl standard released code and custom modules developed by us). The main reason is I want to safeguard the code, as I will be hosting the site in a shared environment. Will there be any license violation if I do * obfuscation* <http://drupal.org/node/1288038>. And to do *obfuscation* <http://drupal.org/node/1288038>, what are the different tools available. I googled and found zends tool set, but if somebody has good experience in this regard kindly suggest which tool is better one. Most likely I will be using ubuntu platform to host the site. To use zends tool send, is it mandatory to use zends server. I do not have much idea in this regard and any suggestion/input highly appreciated. Thanks Austin

Dear All Please ask this question in ubercart module drupal6 I'm going to put a product that I will lose money every time a user purchase that product, for marketing purposes. The problem is that I don't want the same user to purchase that item 2,3,4,5 and 6 times, because I have a stock, and want to a lots of users to buy one time in the store, so they will feel more confortable to buy a second time. I been looking for this 3 days, but no look. Ive seen that you can restrict by Qty. but only in each order, not per user ID. So the fuction should look if that product is in any order of the customer and wont let checkout if the same product is allready purchased for that same user in the past. Any Ideas? 6.26 to 7.15 fails

Learning More on Apache Solr Attachments

Dear All I want to learn more on apache solr file attachments. My aim is to modify / add code in a way, that will suit my requirements. I have been struggling for quite sometime 1. How to index a file 2. How to store minimal data during indexing and get minimal data during searching 3. How to get results in smaller chunks, such as if my query records count is 1000, I would like to receive only 100 results at a time, in next query 100 more and so on Elaborating more on above points *1. How to index a file * Today when a user uploads his/her document, I create a node programatically, attach the document to node and then Drupal indexes file in next cron run. When a user attaches a new document, I delete the old attached document, attach the new document programatically, then Drupal indexes file in next cron run. That's how today I am indexing a file. I feel, the node creation is not required here, just to get the file indexed, I am creating a node. I want to know whats the best way to index a file (without creating a node). *2. How to store minimal data during indexing and get minimal data during searching *If you see during a file indexing , lots of data are sent to apache solr server and those are getting stored. To be specific here, for my requirement I do not need link, snippet - string, snippet-array, fields array having 22 elements etc etc. I may need to just store UID of user associated with this file . How can I achieve it , or at least where can I get more information on this. *3. How to get results in smaller chunks, such as if my query records count is 1000, I would like to receive only 100 results at a time, in next query 100 more and so on *Lets say a query returns 1000 records, probably I may need only first 100 records first time, when user clicks more link, I may need next 100 records so on. Not sure if such facility is there with apache solr attachment module. So I really will be happy to get more information on above 3 points. 2 Drupal site

Hi All, We are currently running our site using Drupal 6. We are planning to have 2nd smaller site built and we are wondering what is the recommendation for having 2 Drupal sites on the same server. There is 1 table on the existing site that will be used by the new site. The site will have their own thnemes. Any ideas how to better serve both drupal sites? Thanks, rotseN
