Is it possible to attach an existing file to a newly created node - ??

Dear All I have spent quite a lot of time to attach an existing file at server side to a newly created node. I googled quite a bit, almost everywhere the examples are there for file uplaod / save and then attach to a node. Did not get any documentation thats says how to attach an existing file to a newly created node . At a high level, my code is as below. $node = new stdClass(); $node->type = resume' ; // a new content type created node_object_prepare($node); $node->title = My title'; $node->language = 'en'; $node->uid = 1; $file_obj = file_load($fid); $node->field_resume[$node->language][0] = (array)$file_obj; //field_resume is the machine name for file field node_save($node); Can somebody please let me know what I am missing here? The new node is created, with no attachment. How can I get the file to attached to node. Regards kamal

Responsive images

I am testing out the responsive images and styles module and want to ask about its popularity. If you have used it have you gotten good, expected results. http://drupal.org/project/resp_img I haven't but then maybe I am not setting it up correctly. I find it behaves awkwardly and at the _wide media size doesn't show the images in my slideshow at all. Installing Drupal 7 on AIX 6.1

Hi, I'm on a new project. Starting from scratch -- host machine is AIX 6.1. I've already installed Apache 2.4, PHP 5.4.7, MySQL 5.5.10 -- from RPMs (not compiled from source). I've verified that PHP works with Apache (phpinfo()) prints the correct info. When I run the Drupal install.php, Apache gets the following error "child pid 2215938 exit signal Segmentation fault". How can I determine what's wrong? Can anyone help??? Ken

site not sending emails

I set up a site on my staging server, used both my email address and the customer's to test the commerce module order emails and everything worked just great. Even though the staging server was xyz.com I could get those emails at me(a)abc.com and customer(a)def.com. When I moved the site over to their IIS server (with apache, php, MySQL installed), I can't get the emails from customer's site def.com to go to any email address at def.com. I can, however, get those emails to come to my email at abc.com Their sys admin's reply is: "Well the first thing that comes to mind is how the smtp server is configured for the commerce_kickstart module. I can't easily get at that. If its set to a @def.com address then it might try to send like emails locally and they would fail." Is this a site config, Commerce config or server config I need to be looking for? Thanks! -- Cindy Dykstra

I have verified a site with google and bing but now the site verification codes are sitting on the first 'line' of the site. Why are they appearing there I ask myself and you? I used the site-verify module. Anyone have any experience with this? -- *Anthony Stefan Maciejowski*

Programatically create a node and add file attachment

Hi All I want to create a node and attach a file programatically in D7. I have below code, it creates a node, but does not have any attachment in it. Okay, if you don't want to even think about D5, just delete this now. I have added a Like button (FBML) to the blogs and it works - except it's picking up some other person's picture than the one it should. Any ideas on how to fix this? D7 What is the result of hook_field_schema?

When I install a module with the following .install file: function my_widget_field_schema($field) { $columns = array( 'duration' => array('type' => 'varchar', 'length' => 8, 'not null' => FALSE), ); return array( 'columns' => $columns, ); } What should the impact be on the database tables? Drupal commerce multiple insert

Hi all, I'm using drupal commerce on drupal 7, and I would like to have a form with many items and only one submit. I write a little piece of code to make the form and on the submit event I can catch all the sku and quantity for each item. My question is , what function or what functions I have to use to insert those items on the shopping cart? Thanks in advantage.
