I am coming in late on this discussion. In Bartik and Garland I find it difficult to change header things even if trying to change page.tpl.php so went to Mayo and set that up, it has a lot of advantages not available in Bartik or Garland. The way I change the Site Name area is to leave those empty by going to Configuration -> Site Information. Then, I create my header image as a png or jpg, go to Admin -> Blocks ->Create New Block, Use CKeditor to download my header image to that block. No text, just the image. Then set the block to appear in the header of your chosen theme and save. In Firebug find that image, it will be very deep in the page structure and will have a name like block-block-name-number, It's not easy to find but firebug highlights blocks as you select them. Copy and paste that block name into a text file. Then in the yourtheme/css file create a css file called positions.css and copy that id or class to the css code to position that image #block-block-23 /*or what ever*/ { position: relative; top:nn px; float:left; left:nn px; border 1px solid red; /*so you can find it on the page, comment this out when your positioning is correct*/ } In themename.info point it to the new css file stylesheets[all][] = css/positions.css you will see where to put this. I put this positions.css first in the list, seems to work ok that way in Mayo. Hope this helps Roger

D7: Loading full objects attached with Field API?

Hi, I have a question about loading fields attached to an entity. I have a field called 'field_custom_namespaces' attached to the user entity. field_custom_namespaces is a taxonomy term reference. Whats the best and shortest code to load all the attached field objects, i.e. term objects? captcha module

I saw somewhere about using images with captcha or something like that where I can have an image and ask for some detail within the image to be the login. I've lost the link can someone advise please. Basically I want to put an image on the log in page. Only members would be able, hopefully to recognise a feature within the image/photo/scene and enter the description in a field which would form both the user name and password for member login to the site. what is the simplest way to set text in a textfield on select events

Hi All Say in a D7 form, I have a choice (of type select) and a textfield. Say when I select different items in choice, I want the textfield shoudl show the text of seected choice item. I know it can be done using AJAX. Is there anyother simple way to do this. If so can somebody guide me. Thanks kamal necs, ble

Indexing / Searching file contents

Hi All I was doing bit R&D on how can we do searching in file contents. To search a particular token or word in a text/doc/pdf file, probably we can use apache solr / tika combination. With the help of apache solr attachment module, probably we can search a specific word in a attached word document. Please correct me if wrong in my assumption so far. On further study, I came to know if a node is created and a document is attached to the node then only in next cron run, the attached document will be indexed and one will be able to search a specific word in that document after certain delay (hope default delay is 2 minute). Now the question is if somebody just uploads a document, and there is no need to attach that document to any node, is there any way out, we can get the document indexed in next cron run. I can programatically create a node and attach the document so that I will be able to index it. But just for indexing a document, do not want to create a node programatically. Because of this reason, day by day, number of nodes will keep incrementing. Any suggestion highly appreciated. Thanks Austin

Drupal 7 - Firefox 15.0.1 - Strange Behavior

Hi All I have a line of code as below. $data[$index]['Resume'] = '<a href="\ncjobs.com\sites\default\files\resumes\\' . $record->uid . '\\' . $record->filename .'" ' . 'target="_blank">' . $record->filename . '</a>'; I am trying to show a link in one table cell. In IE8, this is working fine, I am able to download the file. In Firefox 15.0.1, this is not working, gets error "he requested URL / ncjobs.com/resume_search/skill_based_search/java/1/0/360/00/\ncjobs.com\sit… was not found on this server." I am wondering from where it is prepending "/ ncjobs.com/resume_search/skill_based_search/java/1/0/360/00/" (this is nothing but the current URL, I wanted to access "\ncjobs.com\sites\default\files\resumes\4\Chinmay_Pani mod.doc" URL. If you have faced this issue, kindly let me know whats the work around. Thanks kamal NECS, Bangalore

Strange behaviour on localhost site

I have a fully updated Drupal 7 copy of our live site on my fedora localhost/ I log in as admin. Problem is I cannot add a new content type. I can do so on the live site. On the localhost home machine I get error on a blank page (Seven theme): You are here Home >> Administration >> Structure >> Content types Home » Administration » Structure » Content types Content types Remove from Default shortcuts Individual content types can have different fields, behaviours, and permissions assigned to them. Displayed url is: http://localhost/mycopy/admin/structure/types/add <http://localhost/eal/admin/structure/types/add> and all work the same as the live site. Nothing reported in: admin/reports/dblog Admin permissions are set correctly No errors in /var/log. Have restarted mysqld Cleared browser histories on chromium and firefox I have since taken another copy of the live site and done a fresh install but with the same result. What would prevent the site from displaying the ability to add a new content type? Has anyone come across this anomaly and knows where to look to fix? Suggestions please TIA Roger
