Hi, just a quick question. I've been running Drupal 6 on Centos 5 with mysql 5.0.22 for awhile now, and I'd like to update to the latest version 5.0.45.
Is it safe to update the mysql package with an active Drupal database, or do I need to dump it, start fresh, and reload the database.
Just curious if anyone has tried this and what the consequences might be. I'm thinking I can just bump the version since it's just a minor revision.
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Stop the database, do a cold backup, and follow the instructions given by MySql for the upgrade.
