User is editing a page using TinyMCE.
User clicks submit.
A pop-up appears saying:
*Confirm* Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? The changes you made will be lost if you navigate away from
this
page. Press OK to continue or Cancel to stay on the current page. [Cancel] [OK]
They should select "Update" that's on the bottom right of the
TinyMCE menu, then "Submit".
Where? I can't find it anywhere. My TinyMCE has three rows of buttons,
but no menus. And none of the button says Update.
Ahh, my apologies. I was referring to editing the html source via TinyMCE, which I prefer using. It brings up a new window which has update on the bottom-left (not right as I said).
When editing TinyMCE directly I can't replicate the error message that you're receiving. Sorry for leading you up the wrong path!

Ok. On a side-note, why do you prefer editing HTML source via TinyMCE? Why not just write source directly?

Why not just write source directly?
There's a number of reasons, but the main one is because multiple people have editing rights to the site in question.

Why should it matter? The OP or anyone else should be able to use TinyMCE offering if he desires. On some sites I use both for Admin work even. It's easier to see the affects of the tags while you type.

Did I say something wrong? I was just wondering if TinyMCE had a useful feature that I might be interested in.
Daniel.

Sorry, I must have misunderstood you. The usefulness depends on the requirements of the site but in general it gives a WYSIWYG to the form text boxes and allows you to click and key to get the tags instead of manually adding them. You can also edit in manual tags if you find something lacking but that isn't usually necessary.

I found the culprit! It is the "auto save" feature. If you turn it off TinyMCE works again.
Cheers, Daniel.
