When creating a content there is menu selector at the bottom that allows placement of the content into a selected menu. This menu selector provides only <--Main--> and is no guarantee that the choice will indeed display in the menu
Drupal 6 provided selection of every menu on the system. What has changed?
If I create a new menu, add the block to Left sidebar or Sidebar first it does not display. Flush cache in Drupal or drush is no help.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks Roger
This is now in the content type settings. Visit admin/structure/types/manage/TYPENAME to select available menus.

I must be missing something here ...
When I go to that page (e.g., admin/structure/types/manage/page), I see what appears to be a way to change the general elements of the "page" content type --- not a way to change on which menu (e.g., "Navigation") a specific page (e.g., "About") appears.
Any further help/clarification is appreciated!
admin/structure/types/manage/TYPENAME allows you to select which menus are available for that particular content type in the "Menu settings" vertical tab. When authoring a node of that content type node/add/TYPENAME, you will see a "Menu settings" vertical tab at the bottom of the form, with a checkbox "Provide a menu link." Check the box to see parameters to put a link to the node in a menu.
