Hi, this is my first message to the list, hope someone can help me...
I'm getting an odd error in the admin email messages sent when a new member has signed up and is pending approval.
The messages are the standard
"Joe Smith has applied for an account.
http://website.net./user/8/edit"
but there's a period being added after the site name and before the / user. I haven't seen this with any other drupal installations I have on other domains - at least that I can remember. This is with Drupal 5.7.
Any ideas how to fix this? It's not a major issue, but it's good to be able to click the link in the email notification and go straight to the user's page to activate their accounts.
Thanks,
Paul Collett
It's the notification email under User settings.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I checked there and it's not listed.
I have the following I can edit:
Two welcome messages: - Account details for !username at !site - An administrator created an account for you at !site
Welcome e-mail (awaiting admin approval): - Account details for !username at !site (pending admin approval)
and password recovery e-mail: - Replacement login information for !username at !site
But no option to edit the email sent to the site admin to notify of a new member awaiting approval. Am I missing something?

Do you have Advanced User installed? admin/settings/advuser

Hi,
I'm still getting this error...any suggestions on how to solve it. As noted below, I can't seem to find where to edit the admin email message.
Thanks,
Paul

The mail text comes from the user.module file. It is setup to look for changes in the variables table. I, like you, do not see a means to edit the text for the mail. You should be able to edit the user_mail_register_pending_approval_subject and user_mail_register_pending_approval_body variables in the variables table but this is a workaround to a bug. Please open a bug report.
Thanks,
Paul
