<snip> Hi Tony,
Your configuration should be fine, if I'm not mistaken PHP 4.3.3 is the minimal PHP version you need to have to run Drupal.
Grtz, Breyten :-)

There is one important change: search module now requires the "create temporary table" MySQL permission.
Cheers, Gerhard

---------cut----------------- Hi and Thanks Guys,
So I guess that the "create temporary table" MySQL permission, is something to deal with after the core install and during setup when the search module is added? Sorry, to be lame, Newbie here.
Best, Tony

Yes, you can add it later. You will only need it if you intend to use search.module (which you should, because it is great). Don't forget to set up the cronjob so your site gets indexed.

Do you have cache enabled? I've seen that problem with cache enabled. Simply refreshing the page then registers the fact that the user is logged in.
Can you share the URL for the site? Or your host?
