Google for "migrate Drupal":
http://drupal.org/project/backup_migrate
or

etc. etc.
Perfect. Thanks. tony mac is building web sites.

To be fair the devil is in the details and dependent on several factors like DB password, DB name, php versions, sql versions, host software etc etc. . Working my way thru it. The first link serves to backup and nothing else. The second is a bit above my head not understanding some of the terms. But I am learning! Thanks again, Tony

Fred real quick: In this text from the link you sent me below:
*G. Moving files*
If you are not familiar with the command-line, you can download all of your files to your desktop and then upload them to your new host using FTP. However, this process can be very slow. I recommend using secure copy (scp) instead.
Where is SCP? Dos box? My-SQL? Drush?
Thanks
