After deleting the drupal_user and drupal database from the MySQL database .... I did a fresh install .... created the database all over again ..... Installed the CCK .... and the link and imagefield ....

AND THE SAME VALIDATION ERROR IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
