Thanks Sean for the reply.
I do hope you are right about how easy it is. The right to left language can be a problem because my html is more messy because of having to put dir=RTL tags everywhere .
Hi Emmanuel,
I took a fast survey and found a few rtl language projects that might help you out on your chess club website.
Hebrew language translation. http://drupal.org/project/he
To display rtl text they say you should look at a rtl theme. thread: http://drupal.org/node/102300
That info looks outdated, but here is a link to a Hebrew language profile package for building Hebrew sites in Drupal 5.x http://drupal.org/project/drupalhe
Good luck, I'm curious how it all works out so keep in touch on the list.

hi Emmanuel and shawn,
I haven't been following the whole thread but noticed the talk about rtl languages. I have developed several sites in arabic, which is a right to left language, and for this you would definately go for modifying the css file to become rtl, and if your site is intended to be multilingual then you would instruct the theme to load the correct style sheet depending on the language being used. there are many rtl themes on drupal.org/project/Themes may be you'd want to investigate how the work is being done in them.
hope this is of use. don't hesitate to contact me personally if you need more help.

Search for RTL in the theme page. There are a few, especially for D5. Also, there are few of theme here: http://drupal.org.il/node/606 , and if you dig a bit, you'll find more here: http://drupal.org.il/taxonomy_menu/2/47/54
Hopefully there will be good news in Drupal 6, as we try to get a patch for core, that will automatically choose the right CSS, based on the current language directionality. It will also include RTL versions of all core's CSS files.
