Curious if this module would be ok and not run me in to trouble down the road. Tested it on test server and things seem to be working ok.

I have a production site that puts out announcements about a show that is recorded. Then when the show is recorded the info get re-entered in another content type and the file is attached. It would be easier to use this module and just convert the announcemnent to the other content type, attach the file and be done.

It's mostly something you have to judge for yourself. Looking at the usage statistics[1] we see that their are 5538 users of the module in total. Looking at the project page[2] we see that there are 60 open issues and 30 of those are bug reports. You should review the bug reports to make your determination weighted with by the total number of users.
