Position Title: Web Application Administrator (LAMP)

Description/Qualifications:

A suitable candidate must have at least five years' experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining applications and systems in high traffic volume web sites. At least two years of experience is required managing web sites in PHP-based Linux/Unix environments.Responsibilities include operations and support of applications and underlying stack in a complex heterogeneous computing environment; support developers implementing and maintaining various web sites, applications, and data interfaces; and serve as the lead engineer of an enterprise Drupal content management system.The position is a long-term consulting position with a potential for conversion to a staff position.The position will be responsible to the Manager (Applications Operations & Support) and is on-site based in Pune.

Job Description

. Implement Drupal community-supported and custom modules in PHP/Drupal according to requirements

. Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure complete delivery of web applications

. Provide accurate level of effort time estimates for project estimates

. Assist in release/deployment planning and execution activities

. Disperse and train US and India-based IT teams in LAMP and Drupal related implementation, operations and support skills

Qualifications

. Experience with Drupal architecture, best practices, and coding standards

. Strong experience in administration and management of LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and scripting language HTML/CSS/AJAX/JavaScript,Jquery) web server using SSH as well as various web-based applications

. Drupal 6 or later experience in building and configurations, security updates

. Drupal administration: Create and edit content types, fields, and views.Exposure to Views, Features, WYSIWYG and Context.

. Knowledge about Drupal file and image handling capabilities.

. Experience with working with VMs and using metrics to define sizing requirements

. Experience with third-party applications/tools and integration

. Experience working with third-party vendors and ability to support/troubleshoot different layers of the stack is very critical

. Knowledge of web application security considerations

. Experience with source/version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion, etc.)

. Excellent skills in high traffic web site operations, administration, pro-active maintenance and problem solving skills to ensure optimal working and performance of the websites

. Excellent verbal/written/training communication skills and strong time management and analytical/problem solving abilities

. Experience using collaboration tools (e.g., WebEx, Skype, Office Communicator, Wiki, etc.)

. Experience working with international teams

Preferred

. Experience in WordPress

. Experience with Symmetry version control documentation software specifically

. Experience with Akamai CDN network

. Experience working with Marketing function

Minimum requirements include Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and several years' experience supporting secure web applications.
