Hi,
I am not sure if this support mailing list is the place for this query. If not, please direct me to the correct place.
I have a content type, say "User". Each User belongs to a "Place".
Now this "Place" content type has different types in itself : Country, State/Province, Area. Each of this place type has it's own node page with information about that place.
Through node references, etc. I can specify a user to belong to one place. So e.g. User A belongs to Bombay (which is a child of node India). Thus User A also belongs to India. So if I have to have a count of all users within India, I should get a count of ppl in all places within India (e.g. Bombay, Delhi, etc.).
I looked around but could not find anything that could help me out with this. Taxonomy just create categories. For me, each category is a node in itself!

Have you played with the "Book" module at all? (It comes with core, turned off by default.) It's all about hierarchy. And what's good for your case is that you can put any content type or types into the hierarchy.
I'm not a 100% sure it is what you need. But it is certainly worth a look.

I did have a look at the Book module when I started out looking at Drupal, and was confused alright. :-)
Will have a re-look at it now.

Ben,
The book module did get a lot better in 6, if you happened to have started out in 5. And also, more Drupal experience may help you as well.
But it still may not be right for you.
Have you checked out the nodehierarchy module? I've never used it. Looks good at though: http://drupal.org/project/nodehierarchy

I am indeed using a combo of nodeheirarchy and noderelationships with CCK for the same User type (Parent User - Child User kinda heirarchy). I am actually using the dev snapshot of nodeheirarchy (in this you can specify the child type for a given type).
W.r.t my requirement, I can use nodeheirarchy for the places as well, but am not sure if the heirarchy behaves like true OOPs (which is what I am looking for), i.e. if I want to list users in India.
Will give them both a shot anyway.
