Drupal 6.8
Since I installed OG following Bill book, I am experiencing site being ridiculously slow even on my local dev machine. update.php still runs quickly as expected so I am sure something is wrong. I have truncated cache tables numerous times but to no avail. Rebuilt permission, update.php, nothing seems to help. I did turn page cache on, and optimize css/javascript on but seeing no difference. Any idea?
Here is the list of modules I am using: acl advanced_help auto_nodetitle autologout calendar cck coherent_access content_profile countdowntimer date event fckeditor filefield forum_access gradebook image messaging nodeaccess notifications og og_calendar og_content_type_admin og_reg_keys og_subgroups og_vocab panels poormanscron thickbox token userplus views

Hi, I see you are combining a lot of access modules: - acl - forum_access - coherent_access - nodeaccess - og
Did you check in the readme.txt and issues if they all work together? Out of my experience access modules take a lot of resources and it is not a good idea to combine them unless you checked very well if there are no conflicts. I'm not sure which ones of the above should go, this will depend on the priorities of your installation, but it looks too much access stuff to me. Don't forget to rebuild permissions if you remove access modules.

Thank you so much for your response. It is confusing. It looks I need them all, but I have to triple check.

A site is Slow could be due to following causes:
* The Queries that get executed in the page (this can be checked by enabling the Devel module http://drupal.org/project/devel
* Server (Mysql, PHP, Apache) configuration
* Yslow Performance issues – There are related to the time taken to HTML generation, no of DOM elements, js file size, images, flash, etc. These are elements that get addressed in the Drupal theme.
Since you are testing in the local machine and have addressed some of the parameters that are associated with point 3, I think enabling Devel module to provide more information as to which is the Query that is causing the delay.
