Hello,
Here is my first message on the Drupal Support mailing list.
At first I'm gonna quickly present me : I'm french and I jumped in Drupal, and particulary Drupal Commerce, just for a few weeks. Up to here, I was working with Spip, a french CMS, nice for dynamic websites but designed for e-commerce.
So, I started directly with Kickstart Commerce.
I expose my problem which seem big for me : I need to implement a booking calendar that appears before ordering and which transmit the number of days (between start and end dates) to the shopping cart in order to multiply the price by it, it's for a rental ski shop.
Does it exist a module which allow to do that? I quickly saw "Reservations", "Merci", but before to dive I'd like to know what you think about ?
Thanks for your help. Thanks for all
Pascal
Hi,
So, I wonder if create a new field Number of days in cart form could be a easier solution to my problem.
Similar to Quantity field, but I don't find where are settings of Quantity Field, to duplicate it and to understand the pricing rules which multiply price by number (1, 2,3...)
I wonder too if create a new Product Line Item will be a good way, that question because I need to a pricing rule different if customer choose to rent skis for 6 days.
Sorry for my english, have a nice day. Thanks for your lights.

Hope this helps.

Steve,
Thanks for your answer, but if possible I'd like to keep on Kickstart distribution, cause I've advanced well on my project...
If someone's got another pathway, I'm taking it
Thanks again, I feel less alone Pascal

I think he meant "look at the code in Open Hotel and do something similar in Kickstarter".

Hi Dan,
Ok, I didn't well undertand whereas it was clear : "/how they implement this idea.../" so I'm gonna have look else if I scared a little to dive in code, else if in Spip CMS I do it all the time...
But I've got a question about Customizable Item Product, I wonder if when you create a Product Line Item based on taxonomy, you can add a pricing rule on each value.
I'm gonna try to explain. I saw the Josh Miller'video : Customizable Product with Drupal Commerce: Pizza Store http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9KsyvQZaAY the pricing rule is applicated to all options-taxonomy-terms of Pizza Toppings (Pepperoni, Extra Cheese, Sausage) > Amount to add the unit price
Well, is it possible to add a pricing rule by taxonomy term : Pepperoni (2 Days rental for me) > multiply by 2 Extra chesse (3 days rental for me) > multiply by 3 etc...
In fact I just want to clone the Quantity Field and his mechanism, rename it Number of days, but it seems it's closed or I don't find how to find his settings.
Am I clear enough ?
Thanks again. Pascal

I am sorry I was not clearer. What I would recommend doing is installing the Hotels distribution and look at how they accomplish what you are trying to do. You can then adapt this to your specific use case. You might even be able to use their module directly in your install.
I hope this helps.

I'm gonna see that, hope it's not so complicate to try to implement it in kickstart distribution. Thanks
