At http://wistia.com/doc/video-seo, they say to add a "sitemap" specification to your robots.txt file. I've done a lot of searching and it is not clear, but I get the feeling that this would invalidate the XMLSitemap generated sitemap. Is this true? If so, how can I use both?

Have you searched the xmlsitemap issue queue? I know this has been discussed there but I forget the answer.
