Any suggestions on why I cannot see (or where I should look for) the URL field in the 6.x-2.0-alpha3 of Panels?
I only see Title and Teaser, but not URL and therefore cannot try the quick things mentioned below.
TIA
p.s. I do not have Clean URLs setup - is that required?
6.x-2.0-alpha3 http://drupal.org/node/3526222008-Dec-30408.7 KBDownloadhttp://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/panels-6.x-2.0-alpha3.tar.gz· Release notes http://drupal.org/node/352622Recommended for *6.x*[image: This is currently the recommended release for 6.x.]
Some quick things to do with Panels 2:
- Create a panel page with the URL 'node/%' The % is important to make sure that Drupal's menu system works right. - Go to advanced settings. Add the argument 'node id'. Set it to whichever types you like. Set the title in the argument to '%node' - Go to content; add 'node content', 'node comments', 'node comment form' panes.
Are you creating a panel page or a panel node?

THANKS for the follow up, SImone!
I select Content Mgmt->Create Content->Panel
Then Choose Layout(Two column Stack) and I see Title, Menu Settings, CSS ID, Teaser, Revsn Info, Comment Settings, URL Path Settings, Authoring Info, Publishing options ...The "URL Path Settings" is now showing since I just now added PathAuto module to my system it was not showing when I sent the original email.
Then, when I click Save I then see Tabs for View, Edit, Panel Layout settings, Panel Content
This is the only way that I know how to create a "panel" maybe I am missing something
BTW if instead I do Content Mgmt->Content Type->Edit Panels I see... Name, Type=Panel, Descptn, Submsn Form stg, Workflow stg, Comments stg
Looking forward to learning what you can share, thanks.

I learned that panel is still unstable I ve also found that is a nice way around having to create regions in page.tpl.php Enable panel pages in modules and while you are there add also the Administration Menu module and active it. The add a panel page and you ll get all the possible settings for URL, with placeholders as well if needed I ve read that panel pages will be replaced by a different system in further panel module development Simone

Okay, Simone, let me try your ideas. I am familiar with regions and realize I may have to wait a bit for a more stable 3.x release. ttyl
