We have the Content Access module. Now our users want to be able to toggle anonymous access to nodes of a particular content type. I turned on per-node access control and the form is an end-user nightmare! I'm not even sure it's right. All we want is to mark a few nodes as unavailable to anonymous users, so it's not worth a major effort here.
And, yes, I posted in the module issue queue several days ago but it doesn't seem like the maintainers are very active.

Maybe just code it in your custom module?

http://drupal.org/project/path_access maybe? I've used it a couple of times for a quick fix.

Thanks, Joel. I don't see how that prevents Views from selecting the node.

No, it wouldn't. I suppose you could use flags for Views, but the Content Access per node would probably be better at that point. I suppose you could go crazy with CSS to hide useless items to make the UX better. There is a Taxonomy Access module that I've used to allow more control. If a tag existed, certain groups could see it, like Organic Groups lite (very lite). http://drupal.org/project/taxonomy_access

What does this have to do with the post? Please remember that this lists posts go to 1000's of email recipients who do not want to be inundated but off-topic mail.
I'm not convinced this is a real person as "he" spams every message on this list. I don't think I've ever seen any real contribution from him.
