First thing I would try would be to go to admin/build/moudles and click on the uninstall tab and see if that works. I have seen modules thaT i had to delete their blocks by hand.

I have some oddness occurring with my 6.8 installation.There are a few modules that I tried out and subsequently abandoned. The directories have been removed from the /modules directory, yet the items created by them are still present in the form of blocks... or, are mysteriously present, who knows why!

Looking for some wisdom on this. Seems like something being cached.
