This is a tricky problem that is just popping up now as webhosts upgrade to PHP5.1. Fortunately, the resolution is simple and well documented in the handbook
That page explains the problem and possible resolutions. It has to do with PHP5.1 and themes based on the XTemplate engine (bluemarine being one).

Hi, I'm trying to find out how to toggle the display setting of including pictures in postings. I mean to display the image from one's profile, along with the posting. Where do I look to change this? The other problem may be hard to answer readily in an email. I have the image size, default size within the user settings, set to 85X85. However, some user postings are 300X300 or something like that. Can one have a larger image in their profile, but only use the 85X85 in comments and other postings? Still, it is strange that the image from one member is so large, even though the setting I have for users' photographs is 85X85 Perhaps somone could checkout my site. Let me know if anyone could help in that way. Thanks, Bruce

4.6: administer -> users -> configure (admin/user/configure) -> Pictures group. Then, administer -> themes -> configure (admin/themes/settings) -> Toggle display group.
4.7: administer -> settings -> users (admin/settings/user) -> Pictures group. Then administer -> themes -> configure (admin/themes/settings) -> Toggle display group.

I don't know about that.

Thanks. I've been meaning to ask about the Toggle Display settings in Drupal. What does that mean? When and why would I want to select that? Thanks, Bruce

Hi, I'm wanting to display some images for a customer of mine. They want to see a black background directly around the image/photograph, to bring out the picture in terms of how they like it. I did see themes that have a dark background outside the white content area. I'd like to find something where the whole background, including the center area, is black or dark. Does anyone know if there is such a theme, as it would save from having to modify an existing theme. I want to be able to show them this in as short a time period as possible. Thanks, Bruce
