Did you transfer the image files? Check the references to see if they are the same and if they're correct.

Can you provide a link? *

Basic question, but did the image files actually get moved from localhost to the server?
Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything...

Looks like the display field for the image is not set to show the image. *

could the issue be this error "The selected file * /home/mysitefolder/public_html/tmp/fileqp0K5D* could not be copied." I keep getting many of them
I guess. Did you check permissions? *

@walter, the site is http://www.valentinecakehouse.co.ke . Example of a node is http://www.valentinecakehouse.co.ke/corporate-cakes
I have checked "Display fields" and the settings are ok.

I think by "permissions" Ryan is referring to the UNIX filesystem permissions on the files directory. The "could not be copied" error is a common symptom if the web server doesn't have permission to write to the files directory.

That is correct sorry. (Linux file permissions not Drupal permissions) I should have been more specific about that. *

I am suspecting that the issue might be my input filters. I had changed that. Does anyone know ho to rest them to drupal's default?

Could it be a problem of a change in the path? If drupal is installed in subdirectory the path to the file system may be different in the local and in the live installation.
My path under "file system" setting reads sites/default/files . When I transfered the files I changed the Temporary directory to tmp
