hey all, we have the events module installed and it works fine, except that the Upcoming Events block does not display an event on the same day. That is to say, in the Upcoming Events block, if the actual date is April 4 it will display events happening on April 5th, but once April 5th rolls around that event will not be displayed.
any way to fix this so the block will display events on the same day?

This may have something to do with your server time zone vs. your users' time zone (all within Drupal)

thanks for replying ron.
very perceptive reply. drupal does seem to think today is yesterday, because the whole events calendar shows tomorrow as today.
where do i get those settings corrected?

admin/settings/date-time, but that will only let you swap the time, not the date. Date is probably pulled from the server, so you might need to correct it there.

FYI, there is an issue for this:
Check to see if you've followed what is recommended there. Karen has been working to fix this and you may have to grab the latest head for calendar.

Have you looked at views module? I'm not sure this would help, but you could customize your filters there and define the list to show events where the end time is greater than 'now'.

hi laura, well, out of the box the Events module provides a node for using on blocks. i don't think the Events module relies on a View for displaying as a block. while your solution might be a workaround, it would create a whole different setup than what we've got. i think.
unless you can create a View that will appear as a block, i think i'll stick with the other suggestions of just getting the date to work properly. i will also look at the Issue associated with this.
thanks
