Hi.
As Admin I create an account <People><Add User> for someone and I have the password and change password option.
When another person creates an account and I go as admin to <People> <Username><edit> there is no password field and no option for me as admin to create or change a password for that new account. The email they receive does not provide a generated password, only access to change their password, which they can do only if hey know their previous password which they never receive.
Also, users who create their own accounts have no automatic role, not even anonymous. Is there a way I can let new accounts automatically be anonymous.
Something is wrong and I do not know where to look.
Another question please, Is there a way for people in the same family to use the same email address? thanks Roger
You cannot have accounts owned by anonymous. Anonymous is a single account, uid=0, which is quite special. I assume you are on as uid=1 or some other id which has been marked as an admin. You should be able to change the password by editing the account (edit tab). If not then your permission tables are screwed up.

And if the email they receive doesn't contain a link for them to enter a password something is wrong with your mail tokens in the generated mail. UID 1 has full access, including being able to modify another users password.
