Dear all,
I'd like to customize the message shown on somme pages when the access is denied.
I am aware of the possibility to specify a node to use as access denied page, but I believe it is not enough to achieve what I'm looking for. For some pages, I'd like to be able to show a specific message, plus the login block. Moreover, once the use has logged in, if she has the permissions, I'd like the ressource she tried to obtained be delivered without any further action.
Any advice warmly appreciated.
Thank you, Sherab.
Putting the login block plus another containing your message on the page should be easy enough. Then configure them to show for anonymous users only. If the login block doesn't bring you back to that page once you're logged in through the destination being set, http://drupal.org/project/login_destination should help you do that.

Dear Don,
Thank you so much for your so useful response! One other thing I'm looking for is a way to have different access denied pages depending on the ressource the user attemps to access. To be more precise, the site is a digital library. When a user wants to download a book then what should happen is what has been described in the previous message. But for any other page the user tries to see while not being allowed to do so, he/she should get Drupal's default access denied page. Is that doable ?
Thank you ! Sherab.
There is also the "Redirect 403 to User Login" module - http://drupal.org/project/r4032login
