Story approval

I'm thinking about how to add news writer and editor roles in access control in drupal 4.7. News writer will only post news or stories, but stories not published without editor approval. How I can do this? Please help.

You have a missing bracket, comma or semi-colon somewhere. Fatal Error

I'm getting the following error when I try to adminster the 'modules' section. It's content is fairly clear, but when can I do to rectify it? *Fatal error*: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 11520 bytes) in * /home/gilgongo/html/trowe/html/onthecusp/modules/upload.module* on line *141 * Thanks, Tim

Upgrade question from 4.6.3 to 4.6.5

I see it's now 4.6.5! It seems a week or so ago it was 4.6.4! Now the question is this: Since I'm at 4.6.3, how does one go to 4.6.5? Should I go 4.6.4, then 4.6.5 or just straight to 4.6.5? Are there any database changes that could mess up there? Thanks for info! Skip

attachment - upload module problems 4.7beta

so far everything is working great for me on 4.7beta. until i tried to upload an attachment. I get different results depending on which browser is used. in Firefox, when I click attach, It appears to attach the file or at least display the file size and location, but when I click submit the files are never added. I looked to see if they were in the /files folder and its empty. In IE6 things are even weirder. I never make it past clicking the attach button. Once clicking the button, a new blank window opens up and the progress.gif animation displays in the fieldset(on the original page)..... and thats all that happens... the animation never stops until i click away from the page. I thought maybe it was a theme error since the theme is the only thing ive been working on(customizing) but its happening in bluemarine theme also. checked my /files folder and its writable(777). there's no javascript errors all permissions have been set to allow for authenticated users to upload... same problem persists throughout any drupal enabled subdomains. Maybe there is an apache dependency or something like that I missed and isnt documented? anyone run into anything like this? here is the site Im working on: http://drupal.brandform.net login: guest / pass: guest (for authoring privileges.) any suggestions? -Isaac

Would recommend verifying that you can authenticate to mysql using this user: mysql -u drupal -p drupal Assuming of course that the database name and user name are both drupal. Check to see if you can log in to the database. Did you use this user name and password when running the database.sql installation script? Were there errors? To verify the settings.php line should be $db_url = 'mysql://drupal:123456@localhost/drupal'; Based on the information you've sent. Another longshot is that you might consider changing the password to alpha-numeric. An all numeric password shouldn't be a problem, but I've seen stranger things happen with a API's before. Hi, >From the details you give, I can suspect a few different possible problems: 1. Your username and/or password as specified in your Drupal configuration file is different than the username and/or password for your database. 2. You have not given the database user the appropriate access rights with grants. (Remember to restart MySQL when you modified your grants!) There may be more possible problems, but take a look at these first and see if they help.
