Hello list. I use drupal on my production box. But I have 2 test stations. I use FreeBSD 5.3 platform. On the last week I after upgrade my test boxees, I restart it, and discoverit what drupal don't work... After tests I discovered, problem with function session_set_save_handler For example: test.php <?php phpinfo(); ?> curl localhost/test.php return : 34077 bytes but on this: <?php ini_set('session.save_handler', 'user'); phpinfo(); session_set_save_handler('open_session', 'close_session', 'read_session', 'write_session', 'destroy_session', 'gc_session'); function gc_session(){ } function write_session(){ } function destroy_session(){ } function read_session(){ } function open_session($ad, $df){ } function close_session(){ } ?> curl localhost/test.php return: return 32830 bytes with message curl: (18) transfer closed with outstanding read data remaining ... So, anybody have some ideas? I played with php.ini(remove it and change it).

[drupal-support] help duplicating a vocabulary

Hello everybody, I was hoping somebody could help me with a PHP script or give me a suggestion that would easily allow us to copy a vocabulary. I am not familiar with PHP or programming. We have tried using groups but I can't make the content get presented in a organized news paper/magazine order in the group. I have also tried creating vocabularies of: content, community, issue The problem is there is no order to the nodes in the last two vocabularies only date order. My vocabulary has about 47 terms and it is designed to be local news, information, and discussion content for a community. I would like to copy the vocabulary so that I can build multiple communities easily. We also are going to publish the information in a weekly magazine. My firwst test community is Washington, DC. If you can help, please let me know. If it helps, we'll give you free advertising in our publication. Best Regards

Hi guys, I sent this message to mailman(a)drupal.org, but it seems to have bounced back. The problem now seems to be fixed - I'm once again receiving messages for all subscribed lists - but I'd be interested to know what happened with the lists over the past two or so days. So, although I'd like to believe that this is just a problem with my mailing list account, I suspect that the lists themselves aren't working. What's going on? Are the lists down at the moment? Has anyone else reported similar problems? Please let me know what the status of the lists is, and how long it will be before this problem is resolved. Hi all, After a bad weekend I had to change hosting. The new one could not stay up for more then one week. The transfer to my backup host went like a charm were it not for the weblink module. That was the only thing that did not worked. Searching the forums and lists I found this solution : Within the file includes/menu.inc You find this line : if (strlen($arg)) { $arguments = array_merge($arguments, explode('/', $arg)); } I changed them to these lines : if (strlen($arg)) { if (is_array($arguments)) { $arguments = array_merge($arguments,explore('/',$arg)); } } As found in the forums. Only things did not get that much better. What happens with the first (original line) is that clicking on a "weblink" you get a 404 page not found, instead of the link itself. Only with the second solution, nobody can't login, not even the admin. It could be possible that something got broken during the transfer. But after reading all the posts I did see the second more likely change to be the reason. The previous hosts used PHP4, while the current one is PHP5. Has anybody a better hack or solution for this problem. Or perhaps a link to the one that I missed. No thanks to the previous hosting company. Or are there better solutions, that I still have to discover ? I have installed the flexinode module, only I would love the counting of clicks also. Thanks in advance. I'm slowly getting a grip on Drupal, and it has more hidden powers as one thinks on first sight. Even if I still miss a weblink and download module, and have to fully test a gallery, calendar (event) and the i18n module. I did not regret sticking to Drupal. We are getting there one "druppel" ;-) at a time. Hi all, As I'm still working on the new site, and implementing some of those great modules and more I encountered something with Drupal version 4.6.1. When adding these modules (1 or all) : banner ecommerce flexinode Then I can't get into the modules activation page. Regardless of the browser I'm using. Anyone knows how come, would be much appreciated. Because these are really good modules not to miss. At least I thing ;-) since I did not have the chance to test them :-( On my earlier post I spoke about blank screens. These have for sure something to do with the server configuration of your hosting. As I started to test other CMS's as well, to see if they have it to, I have found others with the same problem. And since I switched hosting I'm pretty much sure that's a relation between the server configuration and one or two lines of code. Don't worry, even if everything turns out white, I'll stick to Drupal. Eventually with the help of some more experienced friendly people we kill this thing to make Drupal even better to run smoothly on everything. Where to start when it's server related you should say. The modules that always deliver blank screens and make your complete site go white are : event taxonomy_image Regardless of the browser I'm using. I would love to get my hands on those two for testing :-O I have to be careful with : image img_assist With the last two. If I change something, still don't know what, these two have the same problem. Only then on the browser family your are working with. So if you are using firefox, then all mozilla based browsers go blank. In short. Why, or what code locked the module page with the first three modules ? Why, or what code conflicts with something to make the screen go blank within the last four modules ? As I'm still new to Drupal, perhaps there is somebody who hacked into these modules or has had a more or less same problem. Hello, As I mentioned before, we are working on publishing a magazine/ezine offering community, real estate, and business content. I created three taxonomies. 1. Content 2. Community 3. Volume, Issue, Date Under 1. Content I have the categories for the content. The problem is, when you view from the other two taxonomies, content is in first in last out order sorted by date. How can I change this so the content is sorted by the first taxonomy. In it's current display, the last two taxonomies are not helpful as the content is in no relevant order. Only in order of date of submission. But, above each story/article/node, it shows the three taxonomies assigned, Example: 1. Primary Content, Business News 2. Washington, DC 3. Volume, Issue, Date Drupal platform helps launch exciting new Community Portal for business, real estate, and community services What can I do? Regards

I'm using drupal for a small private intranet, and am thrilled with the new event.module ical export feature. However, my intranet is designed to prevent any content from being displayed unless the user is logged in, so ical fails to fetch the subscribed calendar. Is there a way to get ical to login? Cheryl
