[drupal-support] New site -- lots of blank screens.

Hi all, As I'm started to build the new site I have troubles with lots of blank screens in all browsers and platforms. The only remedy I have found until now is re-saving the settings or the models. After clicking on one of those two buttons everything is back to normal. Has anyone experienced something like this. I see lots of post in the forum, only no post that resembles this general behavior, or give a decent explanation. Hello, I am not sure, check the access log, there might be a 404 error in it that will give you a better idea. Hello, You most likely need to give it the full path, something like themes/blix/banner.swf so that it will load. Hi, My name is Chris. I may have mentioned before that I am blind so I use speech to interact with the computer. I only mention this as I may have some poorly visually designed examples or content. I am working on an important project that I needed some possible help with. I am trying to build a news and community portal which can easily be set up with different cities like Craigslist. It will be community driven news and information content. So, I needed to get it set up as quickly as possible to keep the powers that be involved and interested. 1. Any suggestions on how to set it up would be greatly appreciated. 2. Here is the immediate head scratcher and situation. I am working with taxonomies. I have set up a General Category and a category for each community. Example content: 1. In the General Primary Catagory I have general news, business headlines, profiles, classifieds, comics. 2. For the purposes of testing, For community categories: I have A. New York City Issue 1 beginning 06-05-2005 issue 2 beginning 06-06-2005 issue 3 beginning 06-04-2005 B. Washington DC Issue 1 beginning 06-05-2005 issue 2 beginning 06-06-2005 issue 3 beginning 06-04-2005 C. LA Issue 1 beginning 06-05-2005 issue 2 beginning 06-06-2005 issue 3 beginning 06-04-2005 D. San Francisco Issue 1 beginning 06-05-2005 issue 2 beginning 06-06-2005 issue 3 beginning 06-04-2005 Now, I want to publish content in the gernal categories and then they will be related to the relevant community and issue date.Each time a new issue comes out, The editor for the community simply ads another term which a is the new issue for the content to be tracked in. A new issue would be issue 4 beginning 06-06-2005 It seems that it would works very well to allow people to search by topic or by community. The problem is, in the community category, the stories are organized in the order submitted not by the general category topics. In other words, General news, profiles, and other topics are all mixed up depending on when submitted. This doesn't make for a very organized publication in the Community categories. How can I do this? Is this a good approach? Is it better to have a different site for each community? I don't want to have to build all the topics repeatedly for each community and we want to quickly and easily ad communities. Regards

Hello, I have a question about the E-Commerce module. This E-Commerce Module. I am not clear whare to unpack it. Is the indivitual directories store, paypal, etc supposed to be in the modules directory. Or, is E-Commerce the only directory in modules with sub-directories under e-commerce? Also, inside each directory of store, I see another directory of store.module. What is supposed to go whare? Regards

I have asked this before but no reply, so could someone have a look at it? I noticed Drupal 4.6.1 does not support MySQLi, the new MySQL client of PHP 5. It only supports the old deprecated MySQL client. Are you planning adding MySQLi support in future Drupal versions? I have already written some abstraction functions that dynamically detect which client is installed, and it's GPL. Perhaps you could take some code for a MySQLi-enabled Drupal version. Hi all, As I'm building a multiple domain site with one database I was wondering which tables can be shared without problems. The background : - Each site has it's own content, menu and blocks - Each site statistics and, watchdog or related should be separated - All the rest can be the same if possible As an example, I was under the believe that I could share the users table. Since every site has the same users. Only the blocks table is connected in some way to the users table. In every documentation I always find this combination : $db_prefix = array( "default" => "content_only_", "users" => "master_", "sessions" => "master_", "role" => "master_", "authmap" => "master_", "sequences" => "master_" ); If doing that I can't change the blocks for each different site. When changing them for one site, they are changed for the other one to. And that's what's troubling me the most. [drupal-support] mass mailer says can't fine php executable even though it's in /usr/bin/

I installed the mass mailer module, and can create messages, but no messages are being sent out. Looking in the message queue, I see "You do not have the php executable in your system path and it cannot be located in /usr/bin or usr/local/bin." But php IS in /usr/bin, with 755 for permissions. Why can't it see it? TIA. Petre Scheie
