[drupal-support] Cron Indexing question

Hello, I'm trying to get the cron.php up and running on my new installation of Drupal. My main purpose in this is to index the site for searches. I've managed to execute the cron.php file successfully via http://sitename/cron.php. But setting it up via the Cron Job manager with my host has been difficult. The host is using cPanel X, generally great, and I've managed to get a Cron Job working using a Perl script, but for some reason it isn't working on cron.php. What was suggested by the host is that I set the file permissions to 755, and then set the cron command to "php /home/location/of/file/cron.php", which I've done, and I know I have the correct location of the file (since I was able to execute the Perl script), but it just won't index the site (checking that through the Administer->Settings->Search page). [drupal-support] Can't log out of account!

Hi List! I'm a drupal newbie and I basicly have the same problem as described here (http://lists.drupal.org/archives/drupal-support/2005-09/msg00091.html), except that it never worked before. Here is a description, which hopefully provides enough detail: I created a first user. I can log in without problems and get access to the administer menu. When I log out, the front page is loaded but I still have my user information displayed, including logout. I can still access all the user account and administer functions. However, in the system events I get an entry like this: 09/20/2005 - 12:40 Session closed for adminuser. adminuser details This will be repeated whenever I hit on "log out", but I won't get the login screen displayed and all the user functions are still available. Does anybody have any clue what's going on here? Martin Feuersänger ps: I use drupal with postgresql. I hope I am not the only one having problesm withe banner module. Though i can preview banners. They don't appear on my pages and I get Failed to access "banner_file.php", file does not exist. Unable to display banners. Larry

It loosk like I am the admin is the only user able to see contenet created by an admin or user. All access permissions have been set correctly What am I doing wrong? Larry

Any help with multi -site installaion will be welcome. I am running 4.51 and all I get is a blank index page per for the other sites even though I am pinting the base ur;l to the right subdomain. the default site is fine. Thanks Larry

On DIYPlanner.com, our search is not finding words in forum posts or comments. Searching yields results only in stories and book pages. [drupal-support] Cache and poll for anonymous users

I have problem with poll module (in 4.6.3) when cache is enabled and server load problem when cache is disabled. Anonymous users see 'random' view for the poll block on pages, for example; on the main page - results, some category - vote form, another category... Is the block cached with the page? Is the cache page-oriented? If so, is it a good idea to put the poll block's contents in an iframe or? I hope I'll have time to dig a bit deeper soon... Thanks in advance. -- Kind Regards, Doncho.
