Howto validate numeric filed on the form?

Workflow access permissions

Workflow access permissions does not get updated on change in workflow state for only two of my CCKs. For these two CCKs alone, I need to resubmit the Workflow access permissions to have it take effect for newly created nodes. i.e every time I create a node I need to go to Workflow access and submit. My Views show updated workflow state only after I resubmit! I am using ; Information added by drupal.org packaging script on 2007-04-26 version = "5.x-1.1" project = "workflow" Workflow is a very crucial component of the project. CCK Common Fields

I'm looking to implement Drupal 5.3 and I'm going to be using the CCK to create some different content types. Two or more of my content types will have the same metadata field names and types: for example: date_created, date_modified, user_created, user_modified, url Is there a way I can set this up so that my content types will ALWAYS get these shared fields ... or do I just have to setup those fields seperately with each content type I create? Incompatible environment

Yep ... I am sure this is an old issue and not critical since it doesn't involve Drupal. But, I am a Java/Web-App guy and that's what I normally do ... so PHP is new to me. I realize that Apache is recommended with PHP 4.x or 5.x and MySQL 4.x or 5.x. So, I am using Resin 3.1.3 (latest) that uses Quercus as the Java implementation of PHP, and I am trying to install Drupal 5.3. The Resin virtual-host is all configured so I do get to the Drupal web-site .... the error I get is as follows: "The PCRE library in your PHP installation is outdated. This will cause problems when handling Unicode text. If you are running PHP 4.3.3 or higher, make sure you are using the PCRE library supplied by PHP. Please refer to the PHP PCRE documentation <http://www.php.net/pcre> for more information. (Currently using Unicode library Error)" This is happening on two systems: CentOS (RHEL4) and "rpm -q pcre" gives me: pcre-4.5-3.2.RHEL4 OpenSuse 10.2 and "rpm -q pcre" gives me: pcre-6.7-23 Any help would be much appreciated ... in the meantime I will keep digging on Google for the answer! Custom form needs "upload in progress" indicator

I have a custom form built using the form API. For usability and to avoid browser timeouts, I need a way to display an "upload in progress" indicator while large files are being uploaded to the server. The file upload module has a nice javascript/hidden iframe functionality that handles this. (It displays a graphic as the file uploads.) However, this behaviour is only invoked if a user clicks the "attach" button. If the user clicks submit (without having clicked "attach" beforehand), the file is uploaded without any indication that the upload is in progress. Any ideas? Can I add the "attach" button's behaviour to the submit button? Or is there a way to use javascript to automatically submit the entire form after a file has been attached using the "attach" button? (In this use case there will only be one file uploaded at a time.) I have also looked into doing file uploades without using the file upload module. I'd prefer to stick with the core module, but if there are ideas for other approaches please let me know. Thanks very much for your help!

I guess I spoke too soon. I did it as an array #default_value => array(2,3) and upon viewing the source, I discovered that it adds the selected="selected" attribute to my option tags like I want. Once again, I spoke too soon. Once I shut down FF, and also tried IE and Opera, it looks like the form is working fine. I cleared out the Drupal cache, but not the browser cache. Well, I'm back again, and this time I have a question about attributes for select options in a form. I have a form that has a select element (multi-select) that lists users. The form is for some admin settings for a module. When the form is displayed, I need to be able to highlight specific options in the list based on data returned from a query. I've been looking all day, and haven't been able to figure it out. There is the #attribute key, but it is for the field as whole (at least as far as I can determine), and doesn't work for each individual <option> tag. If anybody could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks. Steve
