Hi there, As the subject, I want to display block A in the "page" type page, and display block B in the "story" type page. Can I do it in the admin/build/block section with PHP-mode ? Thanks, Huisi

I have a lot of work to do on node-forum.tpl.php and comment.tpl.php in an attempt to get a nice fresh look to my forums. I have a few specific questions, but don't want to swamp everyone so will just begin with what is hopefully quite a simple one: on the forum listing page (where you actually have the threads listed out), both the Created and Last Reply columns have the date in "Time Ago" format. How can I alter this to be an actual date? I presume I would need to go into the forum.module file, is that correct? Thanks in advance Neil

Taxonomy Trees and Views

I am currently working on a site with a few vocabularies. The site is just a small intranet site for tracking time on projects. The vocabularies I have are as follows: Client Project Task In this case Projects belong to clients and tasks are separate from both. I started off with: Client --Project Cleint 2 --Project 2 But when creating views I was unable to figure out how to create on that if I selected a Client it would give me the client and all the projects for that client so I switched to what I have now. Is there an easy way to do this as I would like the Client to be hidden from the user inputting their time so they would only have to select the project and then the node would be tagged with the client by default. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Default PHP Code for CCK field

I'm sure this is an easy one for you php coders but I'm a bit confused as to what is currently populating my dropdown list as it is now. I have created a CCK for user reference, but I would like the default value(or selected value) of the dropdown list to be the current user but then list out the other users available, I'm not sure of the code to use for the PHP Code portion of the default value. global $user; return array(0 => array('value' => $user->name)); That's as far as I got. How hard is it to install CVS on a new VPS?

Gang, I'm about to go from shared hosting to a VPS setup (most probably with modvps.com after some research). They use CentOS version of Linux and it doesn't come with CVS pre-installed (like Debian does). In the last month I've significantly upped my (previously non-existent) command line skills, opening up the OS X's Terminal Ap a few times a week and accessing my web host via SSH or fussing around on the Mac. Mostly what I'm doing is using tar for backup and extraction. Given my lack of experience, my plan is to pay modvps.com $40/hr to install CVS, given that it would probably take me hours to figure it out and the last thing I want to do is mess up a pristine VPS installation. I figure it shouldn't take them more than hours, yes? [The part in Pro Drupal Development about using CVS for your Drupal installation is totally awesome, I'm so excited about doing that.] Convince me otherwise or confirm that I'm on the right track. These headlines wouldn't relate to any other story/page. I can't work out how to do this. Is there a module that does this or can it be done with the basic installation? How to display the users real name as author?

Hi, The users of my website haves a numerical code that I want to use as login. I would like to have the users real name displayed as "posted by" on the articles (and not "posted by 65432100178"). I use the contact_realname module to define a profile_name field, but don't find how to display the users name as posted by. Can anybody help me? Thanks! Luc

URL Authentication

I am working on a project of integrating Drupal with an existing site that has a members login, the drupal site would only be accessible by members that have logged into the main site. So for instance: User accesses www.site.com Logs in to members only site Now can access the drupal site drupal.site.com My question is what is the best way to do this, we don't want users to log in twice, or to have to recreate the users in drupal each time a new user registers on the main site. Cannot Add Book Page
