Custom menu theming

Hi, I've been adopting a custom html template to a Drupal theme. The theme included a navigation menu (one level only) on the left. I created a new menu with all the corresponding menu items, activated through the blocks page, however now I want to style it the way it was in the template. I've searched for a while, but did not find something appropriate. Which function should I override to accomplish what I want? Besides the primary and secondary links, how do I have access (through variables maybe) to the other menus inside a PHPTemplate page? Outline module problem with Printer-friendly

Outline module works nicely, except one problem I can't solve. Please see this page: <http://www.anonemusic.com/jazzTheory> At the bottom, Printer-friendly is duplicated. The first one produces blank because it is calling for book Printer-friendly. I don't understand what is going on here. The content type is newly created one, not book. In fact, the use of Outline module is for not using book content type. So, how did it get here? Worse yet, if I engage "Display Printer-friendly" in this new content type, I will get triple Printer-friendly at the bottom. How do I identify Node IDs?

Hi, every node in Druapl has a Node ID (NID) by which internal handling is managed. Using the NID is also the safest way to link to a node. But how do I identify the NIDs? At the moment you're installing a tool like "Pathauto" or "Urlify", all NIDs are being hidden from the URL; that's the idea of semantic URLs, but how do I now identify the NIDs, e.g. to create stable links to this node? Is there any setting to display the NID somewhere in the node itself, or maybe a module that provides a "Node info" block containing this crucial piece of information? Thanks, -asb

Image assist problem - needs assistance

I screwed up. I installed image_assist 5.x-1.4 on Drupal5.2and now I can't insert image inline. The code is incomplete, namely it drops img tag all together, including the path. I should had stayed with 1.1 (or was it 1.0?). So, I installed 5.x-1.x-dev on my local server. Yes, I followed the detailed instruction. Now thickbox interferes image browser. Pretty exciting, but totally useless. I need to go back to working version. I have all the module tar files backed up. My question is if it is OK to install older version, or will this screw up the database? CCK - Content types with lots of fields

Does anyone have any experience or comments on creating content types with CCK that have lots of fields? I am considering it's use in a project where content types would need 30, 40, maybe even 50 fields. If performance isn't an issue, what about UI? Are there ways to break node submission into several pages? The groups would be at least a good start for node submission, but it'd be nice in this case if it were a little more "wizard"-ish. turn debug on?

Hi, I'm trying to debug an issue with the queries that the location module is performing. Basically it works flawlessly when logged in but not when you're not. I erred earlier thinking it was working fine, but I guess it's not. The module doesn't seem to be actively maintained so I'm stuck debugging it myself. If anyone has any ideas as to why that may happen or what to look for I would greatly appreciate it (i've already patched the module with a patch someone offered on the support page as well as edited some sql to eliminate an ambiguity issue - I got rid of the errors but not get "Displaying results 1 - 0 of 11 for search on 05401" for a search that has 11 results if you're logged in). That said I have a more general question that has nothing to do with the module. I want to find out what the queries are that are getting executed on the database so that I can a. compare them to the code (i discovered while debugging the first issue that the queries executed are not always the same as t b. run them directly on the db and see what I get I found in database.mysql.inc the following: if ($debug)... which is a variable that gets passed to the function and defaults to 0. How do I turn debug on without editing the mysql file? thanks, .sander

Book: There must be a better way

I need to produce instructional pages in book format. - Is there anyway I can have multiple book type? When audience click on taxonomy, the type needs to be meaningful instead of generic "book". Here is how I started: <http://localhost:9000/mh/mioconsoleconnect> The format is images and descriptions. I used image_assist, which is rather a mess. I do have thickbox but I need popup window for this section. Anyway, the most I need is to store images to specific directory per section rather than the generic image directory where image_assist piled 2,000+ files already. It was surprising that there isn't an easy way (I am a noob) to create cck for this type of node. As far as I can see, the only way is to create tons of image field and text field and place them one after the other. I also found Inline filter to be inconvenient. Yeah, I had the same thing with WSOD all over and someone (Greggles?) told me to use the dev version of token and it fixed it right up.
