I wanted to put some HTML into a page on drupal and I have the wikitools module installed. I used <nowiki> successfully but the page displays the actual code instead of the output of the html. Any ideas?

Inline Image Support

Hi, I'm looking for a solution that allows a user creating content to upload images from their local machine and embed them in the story / page being created. I currently have a setup using TinyMCE & the attachment module (with a bit of custom code to bind the two together) but I'm finding a range of problems such as: TinyMCE's "are you sure you want to navigate away" popup being alerted when I click preview, IE users being unable to resize images, and access to uploaded images being denied until the node is submitted. Does anyone know of an out-of-the-box solution for allowing users to use their own images when creating content? I'm using Drupal 4.7. Thanks! Mark.

Complex/Compound views

Hi, I have a situation where I have a set of nodes (lets call them products) with a families (in tree organization) taxonomy associated to them: Node Type: product (Apple) Taxonomy Vocabulary: Family (Fruits) I've already made a module where I list these nodes with some customization. The nodes list, shows me all products and families within the same "family": 1. If I go to the main "catalog" page I have all first level families and first-level products shown 2. If I go to a page "catalog/<tid>" I have all direct families of <tid> and all its products. Now, and because I'm reducing code size and wanting more flexibility, I want to trash my code and change it for a "Views way of doing things". I've already made a view to list all products, and it is easy to pass arguments (even though I still did not use them). But the question is: How can I make a view of two different sources (nodes and taxonomy), filter and order them as I explained above? Or it's better forget this, I continue use my code, despite the lack of flexibility? Regards, Fernando Silva

Relative links in menu

Hi, I'm using both primary and secondary links in a 5.2 site I've been developing. I also use an extra menu which is displayed on the left sidebar. One of this menu's options links to the integrated Drupal forum (forum path), which works fine. I also have the same link in another menu item from the secondary links (forum path). However, the latter is not rendered correctly. If I am at the admin pages, the menu item at the secondary links is rendered based on the current url and not on the site's root, so it could be rendered as admin/forum or node/add/forum, etc. The menu item in the left sidebar is always rendered without problem. Import nodes/data from XML

Hi, Is there any work done about importing nodes, variables and any other type of data from a XML file? The idea would be, instead of using the .install to write PHP that inserts data in the site, it would use just... a XML without any code need. Regards, Fernando Silva

I am sorry if I insist with this problem. I have this problem since days when I try to add some fron a content type who uses cck, views and pathauto : "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 12582912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4104 bytes) in /var/www/drupal/modules/link/link.module on line 574" then I do what the post http://drupal.org/node/76156 tells to do : I increased at 30mb the limit in the 3 files php.ini sites/default/settings.php .htaccess file in the Drupal root ( in .htaccess : # PHP 5, Apache 1 and 2. <IfModule mod_php5.c>...php_value memory_limit 30M...</IfModule>) I've checked also with the phpinfo, it's ok : memory_limit local value : 30M master value : 30M I reboot the server, and I have again the white screen when I try to add content. how knows the solution, please ? raf --------------------------------- Ne gardez plus qu'une seule adresse mail ! Organic groups

Hi, I need to use Organic groups and subgroups for a drupal project. Need customised frontpages for different roles and for different groups. Frontpage module doesnt seem to work? Any insites? I am also unable to use localisation module with og. Search doesnot result in any answers? Am I doing something wrong? Shyamala

preventing accented characters at registration

I am looking to alter the main user module to prevent more non-alphanumeric characters than drupal does by default. I added, as you can see, a line to prevent underscores as we have a mash up with Mediawiki and underscores cause a major headache. I did so by disallowing unicode character 005F which is a standard underscore, and I emphasise "standard" here: there are about 3 other underscore characters! Is there a simple way of disallowing accented characters which also throw a spanner in the mediawiki machinery? I suppose I could always use the admin/access rules to do this. Maybe it's better than further hacking core. What does this line do and is it indeed coded poorly? In an ideal world, I would like to allow ONLY a-z, 0-9 and hyphens and that's it! I may even offer a project on the forum to rewrite this part of the module to allow only those characters. It seems better than disallowing a whole raft of other characters - to allow only a, b and c, so to speak. Mashing up drupal and mediawiki causes so many headaches when it comes to allowable usernames and there's always that one tenth of a percent who absolutely MUST HAVE their username as @@|||||||| - - *_The__<<Big>>__Lebowski_||* - - |||||||||@@ if anyone puts that into mediawiki, our server will go up in smoke. Target audience when creating new node

Hi, I'm using organic groups for a site (5.2). I have created a group admin role, which is granted all but the "administer node" and "administer content types" permissions. I'm also using the taxonomy access control module to restrict access to various sections of the site. What I need is when the user creates a new page, story, etc. to be able to target the audience of the new node. I have to grant him the "administer node" permission to do this, else he cannot assign a target audience. Hi, > the content always sinks down below the navigation: I've always found the mixture of #sidebar-left { float: left; width: some-width-or-other; } #main { margin-left: width-of-sidebar-left; } very brittle, and prone to doing this exact thing on IEx. I had the same problems in an attempt to modify (I think it was) the pushbutton theme. In the end I completely junked it and started afresh (not least because whichever one it was used tables for layout: when is this, 2001?) IE could be getting confused by some sort of float-clearing element in the main column, or by an anomalous width. I see that the #squeeze element is wider than the #main element in the CSS (640px vs 634px, line 30/49 in layout.css). This could be pushing the #main element out to 640px and causing it to drop below the sidebar. Try making sure no elements in #main are wider than #main itself. In general, I think the most robust way to do this sort of thing is to float *all* elements in #container either to the left or right, and set a width and overflow on #container so that it surrounds the height of the floating elements properly, something like: #container { width: 760px; overflow: hidden; } #main, #left-sidebar { float: left; } #main { width: 600px; } #left-sidebar { width: 140px; padding-left: something-less-than-20px; } You do then have to be aware of IE's double-margin-on-floats bug, and only ever use padding instead.
